The Lethbridge Polytechnic Kodiaks men’s basketball team will look to get a respectable placing at the ACAC championship in Briercrest after dropping their opening game on Thursday.
The Kodiaks, who were the south’s third seed going in, lost to the North’s No.1 seed ,the Keyano Huskies 87-84 ,and will play Lakeland today at noon for a right to go to the fifth-sixth place game tomorrow.
The Kodiaks had a 47-33 lead at the half before being outscored 54-37 in the second half.
Coleson Lake paced the Kodiaks offence with 22 points, while the team made over 38 per cent of its field goals, 44 per cent of their three point shots and 68 per cent of their free throws and collected 42 rebounds.
