The Lethbridge Hurricanes come into tonight’s Game 3 at home down 2-0 in their  Eastern Conference final against the Medicine Hat Tigers and feel with some adjustments are confident  they can find their way back in this series .

“I think just playing faster,” said Canes forward Brayden Edwards.

“We’ve been playing more of a defensive game and I think we gotta make them play defence a little bit more.”

The Tigers have come out flying in the first two games of the series, having scored three goals in the first period in each contest ,and the Canes know they’ll have to be more prepared from puck drop.

“They obviously come out flying every game,” said Edwards.

“We’re gonna try to  limit their chances off the start. We wanna have a strong first 10  and just build off  that throughout the game.”

Edwards thinks the whole group is ready for Game 3.

“We had a good day of practice (yesterday) and we got enough rest, so I think we’re all gonna come out fresh and we’re gonna  be better (in) Game 3,” said Edwards.

The team knows playing their game will be important.

“We can be a lot better than we were in those first two for sure , so it’s  just about executing what we can,” said defenceman Logan McCutcheon.

McCutcheon spoke how they will counteract the Tigers fast starts with their own.

“There’s no doubt  that we’ll come out flying and we’ll come out fast, and playing hard and playing our game,” said McCutcheon.

“The more we can get the fans into it, the better.”

While the Canes won’t be able to completely stop Gavin McKenna and Oasiz Wiesblatt, they will have to find a way to slow him down more than they have been.

“It’s  just about trying to  take away their time and space and limit their chances as much as possible,” said McCutcheon.
