The Prairie Baseball Academy Dawgs varsity team opened up their four-game road series with Edmonton Collegiate Hawks with a split on Thursday.
PBA was doubled up in the first game 6-3.
Owen Lucas led the way at the plate for PBA by going 2-for-3 and hitting in an RBI.
Jack Hudson took the loss on the mound after pitching five innings, giving up three runs on six hits and striking out four batters.
Declan Okane, Aiden Mackenzie and Tetsu Niishida scored PBA’s runs.
PBA responded with a 2-1 win in the second game.
Okane went 2-for-3 for PBA, while Justin Scott and Dawson Morrill scored the runs.
Jake Maniago got the win for PBA, as he surrendered a run on six hits and struck out two batters in six inning of work.
Both teams play again today in Edmonton at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
