The Prairie Baseball Academy Dawgs offence was on full display as they took the last two games of a four-game series with the University of Calgary Dinos by scores of 18-3 and 8-4 during Canadian College Baseball Conference action at Lloyd Nolan Yard on Tuesday.

“We came out in the first one (the 18-3 win) (and) really swung the bats … well and got some really good starting pitching and good defence behind it,” said Todd Hubka, PBA head coach.

Will Turner had himself a game for PBA in the first contest where he went 4-for-4 at the plate, while scoring three runs ,hitting in six RBIs and hitting two home runs.

The Dawgs Justin Scott went 2-for-3 at the plate and scored two runs and cashed in four RBIs.

Noah McNeil also had a great game for the Dawgs as he went 2-for-2, scored three runs, hit a home run and hit in two RBIs.

Jack Hudson got the win on the bump for PBA after going 3 2/3 innings, while giving up three runs on six hits and striking out four Dino batters in the five-inning game.

Hubka thought the pitching and batting were strong again in the second game.

“Just made a couple mistakes defensively,” said Hubka.

“It’s kind of been our bugaboo this year that we’ve been splitting with everyone and not playing good. And we found a way to win two (yesterday), so you know what the coaching staff’s really happy.”

Scott led the way in the second game by going 3-for-3, scoring two runs and bringing in two RBIs.

Jake Maniago was the winning pitcher after he went 4 1/3 innings, allowing four runs on three hits and struck out five batters in a full seven-inning game.

Joesph Bews pitched the remaining 2 2/3 innings and got the save.

PBA had 14 hits in both games.

The two wins comes after the split on Monday where PBA lost the first game 11-10 and won the second game 14-4.

PBA  (16-11)plays a doubleheader at U of C on Friday.
