The Lethbridge Bulls grounded the Brooks Bombers with a 7-4 victory on Tuesday night at Spitz Stadium.
The Bulls got on the board first in the bottom of the first inning when JC Spinosa scored from third on an error by Brooks’ second baseman with two outs.
Lethbridge went up 2-0 in the next inning when Adonis Bernal scored from third on Bernie Socarras ground out.
Brooks’ JR Bedford hit a two-run home run in the third to tie the game at two.
Lethbridge would then score four runs in their half of the fourth inning.
Stevyn Andrachick and Will Turner scored on two separate errors on the same play to give the Bulls a 4-2 lead, while Bernal found his way to first on one of those errors
Bernal would score a short time later on a Ben Simmons ground out to make the score 5-2.
Socarras then scored on a Lee Matsuzaki sacrifice fly to get the Bulls their sixth run.
Brooks got a couple of runs back in the fifth inning.
Payton Matthews hit a one-out single to score Ben Fishel while Maddox Shaver scored on a Wyatt Ormonde sacrifice fly to bring the score to 6-4.
Jack Kalisky scored on an Andrachick ground out in the seventh to give the Bulls a 7-4 lead.
Bernal led the way for the Bulls as he went 1-for-4 with two runs scored.
Maxim Mrakovic was the winning Bulls pitcher after he allowed four runs on five hits, struck out five and walked a batter in six innings of work.
The Bulls begin a six-game road trip in Sylvan Lake tonight.
