Bulls blank Giants to open four-game series

The Lethbridge Bulls blanked the Fort McMurray Giants 3-0 to kick off a four-game series between the two teams during Western Canadian Baseball League action on Thursday night

Jack Kalisky scored the Bulls first run with the bases loaded after Adonis Bernal was hit by pitch to shift players over a base and him to home plate.

Jalen Ryan was the next Bull to plate and he hit a single with the bases still loaded to bring in Will Turner to give Lethbridge a 2-0 lead.

Carter Claerhout hit a sacrifice fly to cash in Lee Matsuzaki in the fifth inning to give the Bulls a 3-0 lead.

Ryan had four hits on four plate appearances  and a run batted in to lead the Bulls.

Levi Abbott was the winning pitcher for the Bulls after pitching seven innings while allowing one hit and two walks and striking out 10 batters.

Both teams continue their series tonight in Fort McMurray at 7 :05 p.m.
