Bulls sweep twin bill

The Lethbridge Bulls showed they could produce runs in droves as they swept Tuesday’s doubleheader with a 13-2 win in the second game against the Energy City Cactus Rats at Spitz Stadium.

Bernie Socarras had three hits in four plate appearances as well as three runs and an RBI (runs batted in) to lead the Bulls.

Adonis Bernal had four RBIs for Lethbridge.

Jacob Hagemen picked up the win for the Bulls as he tossed four innings in a seven-inning game , while allowing two runs on three hits, striking out five and walking one batter.

The Bulls beat the Cactus Rats by the same score in the first game of the doubl header.

Lethbridge (14-7) hosts Okotoks (13-8) tonight in a showdown for first place.
