The Lethbridge Miners American Legion baseball team finished with a .500 record, which resulted in a third-place finish, at the Northern District “A” tournament in Lewistown over the weekend.
The Miners concluded the tournament with a split on Sunday as they opened with a 10-7 win over the Tri-County Cardinals and that was followed by av 4-1 loss to the Havre North Stars in the afternoon game.
Lethbridge edge the Fort Macleod Royals on Saturday 4-3 after dropping their Friday game to the eventual District champion Vauxhall Spurs 6-4 on Friday.
The Miners won their tournament-opener 12-2 over District “A” tournament host Lewistown on Thursday.
Vauxhall with represent the North District at the State tournament in Tri-County which begins Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Lethbridge Elks ‘AA’ American Legion team fisnshed their season with a 9-6 home loss to Missoula on Saturday.
