CP NewsAlert: Nick Taylor wins Sony Open in playoff

HONOLULU — Nick Taylor of Abbotsford, B.C., beat Nico Echavarria of Medellin, Colombia in a two-hole playoff today to win the PGA’s Sony Open in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Taylor, who won the Canadian Open in 2023, shot a 5-under-65 to get into the playoff. He birdied the first hole, then sunk a 3-foot putt on the second hole to win.
