Moroz scores lone goal of shootout to lift Warriors to win over Wheat Kings

MOOSE JAW, Sask. — Luke Moroz scored the lone goal of the shootout to give the Moose Jaw Warriors a 4-3 win over the Brandon Wheat Kings in Western Hockey League play on Friday night.

Matthew Hutchison stopped all three Brandon shots in the extra session.

REBELS 3 PATS 0

REGINA – Peyton Shore made 18 saves as the Rebels blanked the Pats.

Doogan Pederson had two assists.

BLADES 4 WILD 2

SASKATOON – Cooper Williams and Tyler Parr each had a goal and an assist in the Blades’ win over the Wild.

Ethan McCallum made 25 saves for Saskatoon.

HITMEN 5 OIL KINGS 2

EDMONTON – Ben Kindel scored twice to help the Hitmen beat the Oil Kings.

Daniel Hauser made 29 stops for Calgary.

BLAZERS 5 BRONCOS 2

KAMLOOPS – Emmitt Finnee had two goals and an assist as the Blazers topped the Broncos.

Oren Shtrom had two goals of his own.

TIGERS 7 WINTERHAWKS 2

PORTLAND – Ryder Ritchie scored twice and had an assist as the Tigers dumped the Winterhawks.

Oasiz Wiesblatt had a goal and two assists.

COUGARS 4 AMERICANS 3

PRINCE GEORGE – Terik Parascak had three assists in the Cougars’ win over the Americans.

Borya Valis had one goal and one assist.

CHIEFS 5 ROYALS 1

SPOKANE – Berkly Catton had two goals to lead the Chiefs past the Royals.

Dawson Cowan made 19 saves for Spokane.

THUNDERBIRDS 5 GIANTS 2

KENT – Antonio Martorana scored a hat trick as the Thunderbirds beat the Giants.

Coster Dunn had three assists for Seattle.

SILVERTIPS 7 ROCKETS 3

KELOWNA – Cole Temple’s hat trick helped the Silvertips to a rout of the Rockets.

Landon DuPont had a goal and two assists.
