Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter has a knee injury after presumably getting hurt in practice

By Canadian Press on October 30, 2025.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter was added to the injury report Thursday after presumably getting hurt during practice.

Hunter showed up on the report as a limited participant because of a knee injury. He practiced in full Wednesday and showed no signs of being injured during the portion open to reporters Thursday.

But then he was not in the locker room following practice Thursday for his weekly media session.

Hunter is coming off a career performance against the Los Angeles Rams in London. The 2024 Heisman Trophy winner caught eight passes for 101 yards and a touchdown, and the Jaguars (4-3) were planning to use him as their No. 1 receiver this week at the Las Vegas Raiders (2-5) partly because Brian Thomas Jr. leads the league with nine dropped passes.

“You definitely look at: How much more can he handle? How much more can we put him in a position to be successful on both offense and defense? And what does that look like?” coach Liam Coen said.

Hunter is one of four Jaguars receivers on the injury report. Thomas (shoulder) and Tim Patrick (groin) were limited participants for the second consecutive day, and Dyami Brown (shoulder) was a full participant after being limited Wednesday.

Hunter has played a combined 486 snaps this season, with 324 of those coming on offense. He has played 67% of the down on that side of the ball. He has played 162 snaps on defense, on the field 36% of the time on that side of the ball.

He has 28 receptions for 298 yards and a score. He also has 15 tackles and three pass defenses.
