Armada score five unanswered goals in 5-4 QMJHL win over Cataractes

SHAWINIGAN — Maël Lavigne had a goal and two assists as the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada rallied for a 5-4 win over the Shawinigan Cataractes on Friday night in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League.

Théo Lemieux, Justin Carbonneau, Vincent Collard and Torkel Jennersjo also scored for Blainville-Boisbriand (12-5-2), which leads the Western Conference with 26 points. Derik Brouillard made 20 saves.

Chad Lygitsakos, Jiri Klima, Noah McKinnon and Vince Elie replied for Shawinigan (7-5-3).

The Armada trailed 3-0 when Lemieux scored at 7:40 in the second to cut into Shawinigan’s lead.

Blainville-Boisbriand then scored four times in the third period to go up 5-3.
