Canada women to face the U.S., Argentina and Colombia at SheBelieves Cup in March

By Canadian Press on January 7, 2026.

Canada is returning to the SheBelieves Cup, joining the host United States, Argentina and Colombia at the four-team women’s tournament in March.

The 10th-ranked Canadians will open March 1 against No. 20 Colombia in Nashville before facing the second-ranked U.S. on March 4 in Columbus and No. 30 Argentina on March 7 in Harrison, N.J.

It will mark Canada’s fourth appearance at the tournament after finishing second in 2024, fourth in 2023 and third in 2021.

Japan won in 2025, snapping an American run of five straight titles. The U.S. has won seven of the 10 editions to date, with France victorious in 2017 and England in 2019.

“This competition is a fantastic opportunity to once again measure ourselves against high-quality opponents who are all likely to be at the 2027 World Cup,” Canada coach Casey Stoney said in a statement. “The SheBelieves Cup has served as a great test for our group in previous years and we’re thrilled to be able to return for another chance to win the competition. Each team brings a different style which will pose a challenge and ultimately prepare us to become the team we need to be.”

The Canadian women ended 2025 on a five-game losing streak and are mired in a 454-minute goal drought.
