NFL Canada has awarded $75,000 to three Canadian youth football programs.
The Falcons Football Club, based in Winnipeg, North Toronto Sentinels, of Vaughan, Ont., (formerly known as Vaughan Rebels Football Association) and Montreal’s Sun Youth Hornets Football will all receive a $25,000 donation as part of the NFL’s Forward Pass initiative.
This marks the second year of the NFL Forward Pass program. The initiative supports community football programs, removes barriers and makes the sport more accessible.
“For the second consecutive year, we received over 500 nominations from football programs across Canada,” said Tara Chetkowski, Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement, NFL Canada. “The quality of this year’s submissions surpassed our expectations.
“We look forward to celebrating their achievements at upcoming community events later this year.”
The Falcons Football Club is a community-based tackle organization that includes a girls’ program in Sagkeeng First Nation. The North Toronto Sentinels provide football to over 200 youths, while the Sun Youth Hornets are celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2026.
