Security guard at Drake’s Toronto mansion seriously injured in overnight shooting

Police say a security guard working outside Drake’s Toronto home was seriously injured in an overnight shooting.

Toronto police say they are in touch with the superstar rapper’s team who are cooperating with the investigation.

Police say the guard was standing outside the gates of the mansion in Toronto’s affluent Bridle Path neighbourhood when he was shot shortly after 2 a.m.

Insp. Paul Krawczyk says police do not have a description of the suspects or the vehicle they fled in.

He says the guard remains in hospital.

Krawczyk says it’s too early to speak to motive but he is aware of the ongoing rap feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar.
