Body found in westside park

Lethbridge Police Service update Monday, May 4:

The death of a 21-year-old male, whose body was found in a westside park Saturday morning, is non-suspicious.

As the matter is non-suspicious no further information will be released.

Lethbridge Police were investigating a sudden death after the body of a male was located early Saturday morning in a westside Lethbridge park.

Just before 7 a.m., EMS responded to a report of a male asleep against a snow fence in Assiniboia Park, along the 100 block of Jerry Potts Boulevard. When paramedics arrived the male was found to be deceased and police were contacted.

Officers were on scene for a number of hours, however, there was no evidence to suggest foul play at the time.
