Blood Tribe woman charged with drug possession, endangering a child

A Blood Tribe woman was arrested on Thursday and charged for possession of drugs and endangering a child.

The Blood Tribe Police Service, along with the RCMP Patrol Dog Services, executed a search warrant at a residence in the community of Moses Lake.

Police seized 10.5 grams of methamphetamine, crack cocaine and heroin, along with scales and an airsoft handgun. A nine-year-old child was also located inside the residence, BTPS said in a release.

Three subjects were arrested on scene. Two subjects were released without charges and one woman, who is a resident of the Blood Tribe, was charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and causing a child to be drug endangered. The woman’s name is being withheld to protect the identity of the child.
