LETHBRIDGE HERALD

Lethbridge Police have charged two men after significant quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine were seized last week.

Last Thursday, following a short-term investigation by members of the Priority Crimes Unit, a search warrant was obtained and executed at a southside hotel room. Police seized approximately 163 grams of crack cocaine, 76 grams of methamphetamine and nearly $2,200 in cash. Two men were arrested without incident and police seized additional pre-packaged bags of meth and cocaine and $1,000 cash. The combined value of the drugs is just over $21,500.

Carmon Shane Deschamps, 33, of Maskwacis, and Kyle Mitchell Dennis Saddleback, 34, of Calgary, are each charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of the proceeds of crime.

Following judicial interim release hearings, both men were remanded in custody and had their matters heard in Lethbridge provincial court Monday. The case was simply adjourned, however, to Thursday.
