Police arrived on scene at the home along the 800 block of 16 Street South Thursday afternoon for the warrant and called the explosives disposal unit after discovering the items. Neighbouring residents in the immediate vicinity were asked to evacuate while the unit removed the items of concern. The explosives unit was able to secure the residence early Thursday evening.
Police say five people were taken into custody and charges are pending.
