Community lab temporarily closed due to staffing shortage

Lethbridge Herald

Alberta Health Services has announced that effective Monday the Campbell Clinic South location of Alberta Precision Laboratories at 430 Mayor Magrath Drive South will be temporarily closed due to short-term staffing shortages. As this location is drop-in only, no appointments have been cancelled, and all patients will be accommodated at other locations.

Lab collection services are available at the Lethbridge Community Lab at Chinook Regional Hospital, as well as the Bigelow Fowler South and West clinics and the Family Medical Centre. Appointments are encouraged for the Lethbridge Community Lab, and can be booked online at http://www.APLappointments.ca or by calling 1-833-572-0577. Bigelow Fowler and Family Medical are walk-in service only.

ASH says it appreciates the understanding of all patients as they continue to work to ensure they have the staffing support needed to continue to offer services, safely. Every effort continues to be made to find alternate staff solutions to cover shifts. Unfortunately, when that is not possible, temporary short-term closures are required.

Continued enhanced safety measures are in place at all APL facilities, following Public Health guidelines to keep patients and staff safe.

My bet is that this is all due to Jason Kenney’s erosion of our health care system. Jason has a plan to put our lives in the evilhands of such companies as Humana, an HMO.
It’s happening right before our eyes, Albertans.
