Possible scam artist may be targeting seniors

By Lethbridge Herald on December 19, 2020.

The Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization is alerting the public about a possible scam targeting seniors.
On Wednesday or Thursday, a senior receiving Support Services from LSCO answered the door of her residence to a well-dressed Caucasian male (in his late 20s to late 30s), whom she allowed into her residence.
The man told the senior he worked for LSCO and then proceeded to ask her questions about her health and personal well-being. After a few minutes, the person left the residence and the senior was unharmed. He was described as being fairly tall with dark brown hair and was wearing a dark suit.
LSCO said in a notice that it does not employ anyone matching that description. It is highly likely that person was checking out a vulnerable senior and intends to return.
LSCO urges people to not allow this person into their home and call 911 when it is safe to do so.
