HIV Community Link withdraws plan for 13 Street N. harm reduction site

HIV Community Link will not be setting up at harm reduction site on 13th Street North as previously planned.
HIV Community Link issued the following statement on Thursday regarding the location they had been seeking for a potential harm reduction site at 422 13th Street North:
“HIV Community Link announces that the space on 13th Street North, where we initially planned to offer safe and confidential services to Lethbridge residents, is no longer a viable option. At this time, HIV Community Link and the landlord will be parting ways professionally and amicably. We want to publicly thank those who support our work and the vulnerable residents we serve. Our team is committed to working with the community to form a collaborative response to rising rates of hepatitis C, HIV, and STBBI in Alberta, and we will continue to look for a suitable location.
