Collision sends pedestrian to hospital

Lethbridge Police are investigating a motor vehicle-pedestrian collision that occurred on March 1 which sent a 35-year-old woman to hospital with serious injuries.
Police arrived at the scene of the collision at 10 Avenue and Mayor Magrath Drive South just after 9 p.m. 
The pedestrian, who was crossing Mayor Magrath Drive when struck by a northbound vehicle, was taken to Chinook Regional Hospital. The woman, of no fixed address, was subsequently transported to hospital in Calgary with serious, life-threatening injuries.
The Traffic Response Unit was called out and has taken over investigation of the file. Neither speed or alcohol are believed to have been a factor in the collision.
Further information is expected to be released when available.
Lethbridge Police update northside residential fire investigation
The Lethbridge Police Service has been working with Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services in relation to a fire which resulted in damage to a pair of adjacent homes in the 200-block of 16 Street North on Sunday, Feb. 28.
The fire has been determined to be suspicious, but the cause is still unknown.
