Lethbridge County voter information

The municipal election is right around the corner and Lethbridge County would like to remind voters of some important information as general election and advance voting days approach.
Voter Eligibility
You are eligible to vote if you meet the following requirements:
– You are at least 18 years old;
– You are a Canadian citizen;
– You reside in Alberta and your place of residence is located in Lethbridge County on election day
You may only vote for the candidate in the Division you reside in. If you are unsure of what Division you are in, visit our website at https://lethcounty.ca/p/election-2021.
Voting for Municipal Candidates, Senate, and Provincial Referendum Questions
A candidate list and contact information is available online at https://lethcounty.ca/p/election-2021.
As some Councillor positions were filled by acclamation or no candidate ran in a Division, not all Divisions require voting for the municipal election. However, all voters in Lethbridge County may still cast their vote for the Senate and provincial referendum questions. More information on these is available at https://www.elections.ab.ca/#voters.
Voting Dates
Advance voting for all Divisions will be held at the Lethbridge Administration office (#100, 905 4 Avenue South) on the following dates:
– Wednesday, October 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
– Saturday, October 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
General election day is on Monday, October 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Voting Stations on Election Day (October 18)
The Division you reside in determines where you vote. Voters cast their ballots at these locations:
– Division 1: vote at either Gem of the West Museum (1306 – 20 Street, Coaldale) or Diamond City Community Hall (310 Underwood Avenue, Diamond City)
– Division 2: vote at either Gem of the West Museum (1306 – 20 Street, Coaldale) or Diamond City Community Hall (310 Underwood Avenue, Diamond City)
– Division 3: must vote at Gem of the West Museum (1306 – 20 Street, Coaldale)
– Division 4: must vote at Diamond City Community Hall (310 Underwood Avenue, Diamond City)
– Division 5: vote at either Gem of the West Museum (1306 – 20 Street, Coaldale) or Diamond City Community Hall (310 Underwood Avenue, Diamond City)
– Division 6: vote at either Gem of the West Museum (1306 – 20 Street, Coaldale) or Diamond City Community Hall (310 Underwood Avenue, Diamond City)
– Division 7: vote at either Gem of the West Museum (1306 – 20 Street, Coaldale) or Diamond City Community Hall (310 Underwood Avenue, Diamond City)
Remember to bring proper identification with you to the voting station. A list of accepted ID is online at https://lethcounty.ca/p/election-2021.
