The Lethbridge International Airshow is set to go on July 30-31, but needs board members if the event is to proceed.
“Since 2017, the Lethbridge Airshow has fallen on hard times internally and externally. We, the Lethbridge Airshow Association, want to brighten your summer days. In order to bring those one-of-a kind aircrafts, air and ground crew to Lethbridge, we need you,” said Gail Pontarolo, Airshow past president.
The Association is not-for-profit and volunteer based.
“Without our volunteers both year-round and during air show time, the show cannot go on,” she said.
“(The year) 2022 is the year to bring not only locals back together, but those near and far. If you want to be a part of not only an amazing organization, but to be one person to help, you may contact the Airshow board.”
The Airshow is also looking for volunteers on the ground for set up in positions for security parking and ticket people.
“We only have four months to put it together,” she said.
The event is looking for three to five more members.
The current board is meeting at the end of the month to determine the fate of the 2022 event.
Interested board members and volunteers can contact eastwoodj596@gmail.com.
The event was last held in 2017.
