Creepy Hollow decided after a devastating spring fire to rebuild and recently welcomed back Halloween enthusiasts to explore its spooky attractions.

Their haunted mansion near Warner went up in flames in May and owners Glory and Richard Reimer took the summer to do some fundraising and collected donations.

Fundraisers included a couple of concerts on their stage, live and silent auctions and a Go Fund Me Page being posted after the fire happened.

Glory added, “Right in the end here, we had friends just going above and beyond collecting donations of roofing and paint – it was kind of incredible of what was flooding in at the end – even tools and buckets of screws.”

“Without all that happening, it wouldn’t have happened.”

The rebuilding was made possible because Richard was on the plans right away and the Reimer’s had friends come out and spend 10 days on clean-up duty.

“He was immediately working on some kind of plan for the fall,” she said.

“But for me it was more emotionally longer to wrap my head around things. Yeah, it actually went until the beginning of September when it looked like it was a possibility for me to go ahead with everything going on.”

The main part of the haunted mansion is now standing with walls and roof and will have more finishing done next spring and summer.

“We can run people through there and so far people that have come are having a heck of a fun time,” said Glory. “So they’re really enjoying it. They’re liking the new ideas. I couldn’t wrap my head around doing something, I couldn’t plan a floor and it didn’t start coming together until after some of the boards went together. It’s all a new floor plan and again my oldest daughter had a lot to do with what it looks like now. She had a lot of fun ideas and people are just loving it.”

Haunted mansion goers will see the bigger portion this year.

Creepy Hollow is located just north of Warner and is open every day until Halloween from 2-9 p.m. and until 10 p.m. on Fright Nights, which are Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Private bookings are available after Halloween.
