Local venues ready to ring in a new year

With the new year right around the corner many people are looking forward to a New Year’s Eve celebration and what a better way to celebrate than with community activities.

Among events is “Ring in the New Year with Suite 33,” a New Year’s gala celebration in support of Lethbridge United Way.

This event happens on Sunday from 6 p.m. until 1 a.m. at the Coast Lethbridge Hotel in the conference centre with dinner included. Tickets for this event can be purchased at https://visitlethbridge.com/event.asp?EventID=16340.

The Italian Canadian Club of Lethbridge is also hosting a New Year’s Eve event. Tickets can be purchased online or in person for $60 per person. Dinner is included in the ticket price. The celebration runs Sunday 6:30 p.m. until 1 a.m. at 1511 Saint Edward Boulevard North.

You can also celebrate New Year’s Eve at the Canadian Brewhouse which is hosting festivities starting at 9:00 p.m. at #10,3521 Mayor Magrath Drive South. The $20 tickets include free wings, a champagne toast at midnight and a pizza bar.

Another fun celebration taking place locally is “Glow crazy on the dance floor,” a neon disco New Year’s Eve at Hudsons Canada’s Pub, 904 2 Ave. South starting at 7 p.m. Sunday and going until 2 a.m.. Also on tap is a New Year’s Eve Masquerade at the Sidelines Bar and Grill on 913 19 Ave in Coaldale from 6 to 9:00 p.m. with live performances. Admission will be available upon arrival at the door. If you are looking for a more peaceful New Year’s celebration look no further than the University Drive Alliance Church which is hosting a special New Year’s Eve Service on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 11a.m. at 55 Columbia Boulevard west.
