Winter is coming! Finally. A year after southern Alberta was dealing with subzero temperatures and snow, the area is experiencing much milder and drier conditions.
But that will soon change, according to The Weather Network.
Clouds will arrive today along with a 70 per cent chance of less than five millimetres of much-needed snow. That same 70 per cent chance of snow exists for Sunday when we can expect between one to three centimetres of the white stuff.
Southern Albertans will see temperatures begin falling this weekend with a high today of 4 and -7 Sunday when the mercury will dip to -10 at night.
Temperatures will continue to plummet next week with a nighttime low of -37 expected by Friday.
Daytime highs will drop from -1 on Monday to -25 by Friday.
That same wintry weather will continue next weekend when the night-time temperature will drop to -38 Saturday which will only have a high of -24.
Some snow is expected to fall most of next week.
