Funds for medical teaching school a local highlight of budget

By Lethbridge Herald on March 1, 2024.

Mayor Blaine Hyggen says time will be needed to review Thursday’s provincial budget to see its full impact on Lethbridge.
In a statement released late Thursday afternoon the mayor said that review will include discussions with the City treasurer.
One highlight, however, was  funding which was announced for the Rural Medical Teaching School at the University of Lethbridge.
“It’s a great initiative to train and retain doctors in southern Alberta,” said the mayor.
“As always, City Council and I will continue to advocate for the supports we need in our city to best serve our residents.
I was pleased to attend today’s budget announcement in Edmonton, on behalf of Lethbridge city council. We look forward to working with the Provincial Government in the coming weeks and months to learn more about what this budget means specifically for Lethbridge,” said Hyggen.

A positive spin. Good for you Mayor. Just watch the NDP and 4H echo chamber chime in. The nattering nabobs of negativism. 4H club, hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history. Spiro Agnew, 1970.
