Police in Calgary have made an arrest in the death of a toddler.

Olivia Hayden was rushed to hospital in September 2022 and was later pronounced dead.

The two-year-old’s death was deemed a homicide following an autopsy and a lengthy police investigation.

Police say a man was arrested Wednesday, but he has not been formally charged.

They say the man will likely be charged with manslaughter.

Investigators also say the accused knew the child, and her death was not random.
