 Brenda Joyce Allan, passed away in Taber on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the age of 67 years.

Matthew “Matt” Flitton

1986 – 2015

Mr. Matthew “Matt” Flitton of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Kaylene “Kaylee” Flitton, and father of sweet fur baby Jax, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 18, 2015 at the age of 29 years.

Matthew was born on April 1, 1986 in Lethbridge, Alberta to the loving parents Dale and Carol Flitton, and was the youngest of his four siblings Mark, Dalayna, and Kaite. Matthew grew up and resided on the Northside of Lethbridge where he met and married his wife, Kaylee. One of the most important elements of their lives was their child (fur baby) Jax. While nurturing his new addition, Matthew attended LCC and achieved his Red Seal Journeyman Welding certificate. Matthew’s interest included camping and fishing, longboarding, visiting the firing range, snowboarding, golfing, street bikes and anything that involved his buddies. He was well known and loved by his family, friends and co-workers. Matthew would give you the shirt off of his back if he knew it would help. He will be missed for his unforgettable sense of humor, his candid sense of laughter and most of all his desire to have fun. Live to ride, ride to live.

Matthew is survived by his loving wife Kaylene “Kaylee” Flitton, his fur baby Ajax “Jax” Kamau Flitton, his parents Dale & Carol Flitton, brother Mark (Nichole) Flitton, two sisters Dalayna (Morgan) Taverner, Kaite (Jeff) Pickell, as well as three nieces and four nephews. Matt will be sorely missed by his family and friends. We will see you again.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Pastor Rodger Halvorsen, officiating.

 FROHLICK

It is with great sadness that at the age of 88, ALOYSUIS “AL” FROHLICK, passed away on September 23rd, 2015. He was predeceased by his loving wife Emelia Frohlick. He leaves behind his three sons: Darrell (Ingrid) Frohlick and their children Deanna (Dave) Roberts, Jackie (Ryan) Collins, Sherri (Charles) Haliburton. Doug (Wendy) Frohlick and their children Lindsay (Curtis) Riddell, Kim (Terryl) Luhowy. Greg (Cecelia) Frohlick and their children Sara (Walter) Kyle, Shannon Yuill, Christopher Frohlick.

Al was a kind, gentle soul whose life brought smiles to all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be greatly missed by all including his 10 great grandchildren.

Al was born the second youngest of 19 children in the farming community of Holdfast, Saskatchewan. His early years were spent farming, fishing & schooling, this is where he met his wife to be, Emelia.

Al & Emelia moved to Regina, Sask. where they raised their three children, Darrell, Doug and Greg. Al was employed as a crane operator till the recession of the early 70’s when he relocated the family to Lethbridge. Dad stayed the course working in the steel industry and mom at Sears till they both retired. They spent many happy years camping with friends, having family gatherings (such as reunions and Frohlick sausage making) and travelling. Mom left dads side in her passing in 2007. Dads final years were spent travelling with family and friends as well being an active member of the Norbridge Senior Centre. He was able to remain in his own home almost to the end.

A Funeral Mass will be held at ST. MARTHA’S CATHOLIC CHURCH – 355 Columbia Blvd. West., Lethbridge, AB. on Monday, September 28th, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Salvadore celebrating.

Bill Fletcher
1932 – 2015
William Lorne Fletcher, beloved husband of the late Betty Fletcher, passed away in Taber on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the age of 83 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 – 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, September 27, 2015 between 3:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M.

Bill is survived by his children Greg (Sherry) Fletcher, Gordon (Paulette) Fletcher and Cheryl (Tim) O’Neill all of Taber; grandchildren Justin (Lonnie) Fletcher, Kimberly Fletcher (Laurence Neilson), Lindsay Fletcher (Craig Mueller), Kimberly (Mike) Powell, Brad (April) Holcek, Ashley Fletcher (Mike Gray), Felicia Fletcher, Kristin O’Neill and Nicole O’Neill; great grandchildren Tanner and Charley Fletcher, Mya and Ave Neilson, Addison Gray, Logan Kromm, Genna Powell and Emma and Cage Holcek. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Charlotte Fletcher.
He was predeceased by his wife Betty Fletcher, parents Lorne and Eleanor Fletcher, brother Robert Fletcher and step grandson Ryan Holcek.
Bill was born to Lorne and Eleanor Fletcher in his grandparents home on September 17, 1932 in Medicine Hat. He grew up on the family farm and went to school at Hudson and Taber. On November 1, 1956 he married Betty Burwell and they moved to the Newhouse Place where they farmed and raised their three children Greg, Gord and Cheryl. Besides his love of farming he enjoyed pistol club, curling and music which was probably his favorite. He played the piano, organ, accordion and saxophone and enjoyed getting together with friends for jam sessions. He was on the Taber Service Board for fifteen years, a member of the Kiwanis Club as well as being involved with Sherburne Hall and Knox United Church. In 1980 Bill and Betty moved to Taber but he still remained active on the farm for several years. In their later years, they enjoyed having coffee with many of their old and new friends. His last years were spent at Clearview Lodge. Just days before his passing he celebrated his eighty third birthday surrounded by his family. Bill will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Thurza Peard
1934 – 2015
Thurza Edna Peard, beloved wife of Jack Peard, passed away in Taber on Friday, September 18, 2015 at the age of 80 years.
A private burial service was held. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Heritage Inn, 4830 – 46 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, November 7, 2015 between 1:00 P.M. and 3:00 P.M. Condolences may be forwarded by visiting our website at http://www.southlandfuneral.com.
Besides her loving husband Jack, Thurza will be remembered by their son Don (Pat) Peard of Calgary; three grandsons David (Colleen) Peard, Steven (Helena) Peard, Andrew Peard and a great grandson Easton Peard. She will also be remembered by her brother Bill Crosthwaite of Lethbridge and his family.
She was predeceased by her daughter Donna Peard and sister-in-law Shirley Crosthwaite.
Thurza was born in Iron Springs on September 25, 1934. She met Jack Peard and they were married in Taber February 28, 1953.
Thurza was a hard worker and over the years, was employed as a telephone operator before she and Jack purchased Sparky’s Dairy Bar. When they moved to Lethbridge in 1970, she worked at Sears and Woodward’s before retiring in 1986.
Thurza loved to travel. She and Jack enjoyed spending their winters in Surprize, Arizona. Her family was her number one priority and she loved spending time together.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Thurza’s name may be made directly to the charitable cause of one’s personal choice.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Marlene Pollock (Noordhof). She is remembered by her Husband Roger Wipf, and her children Rabiae, wife Terra, Rany, Noelle (Rob), Amy wipf and 5 grandchildren, Mother, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

VINCENT OLITCH

(1923 – 2015)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vince Olitch at the Crowsnest Pass Continuing Care Centre on September 23, 2015 at the age of 92.

Vince was born on February 7, 1923 in Bellevue AB to proud parents, Helen and Vince Olitch. He grew up and received his education in the Crowsnest Pass along with his siblings, Charles and Velma. Vince married the love of his life, Elizabeth “Betty” Luini on June 26, 1948.

He is survived by his devoted daughters, Joan Trotz of Calgary, AB, Penny (Tom) Richards of Calgary, AB and Darlene (David) Kimoto of Taber, AB; his grandchildren, Bruce (Jenn) Trotz, Brandi (Shane) Mawston, Tom (Michelle) Richards, Corey (Anja) Richards, David (Amanda) Kimoto and Tammy (Scott) Reiling; his great-grandchildren, Zane and Greyson Trotz, Kael Mawston, Mac and Reece Richards, Madison and Mitchell Kimoto and Kyla and Eric Reiling.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Betty; his parents, Helen and Vince Olitch; his grandson, Craig Richards; and his brother, Charles Olitch; his sister, Velma Bring.
