MARY HUBERT of Coaldale, AB., beloved wife of the late David Hubert, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at the age of 88 years and one week.

FRANK NAVRATIL, beloved husband of Grace Navratil, of Magrath, AB., passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the age of 83 years.

Robert “Bob” Ober

1938 – 2016

Robert “Bob” Ober of Coaldale, AB, passed away peacefully at home on January 6, 2016 at the age of 77 years.

Bob was born on October 6, 1938 in Coaldale to Lela and Ben Ober. He attended school in Coaldale, and SAIT in Calgary where he learned Mechanics and Welding. On the family farm, he grew various crops, raised cattle, and remained active with cattle brokering. He was a horseman who enjoyed rodeos. Bob was an avid golfer, and golfed U.S. courses in the winter months. In 2004, his company received the Farm Family Award from Alberta Agriculture.

Bob is survived by his daughter Raina Henriksen, son Darren Ober, grandchildren Dena Henriksen and Justin Ober, sister Faye Ward, and brother Doug Ober.

Bob was predeceased by his loving wife June, on January 8, 2010. He was also predeceased by his parents, Lela and Ben.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at SOUTHMINSTER UNITED CHURCH, 1011 – 4 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, with Reverend Dr. Austin Fennell officiating.

Darren Howlett
1960 – 2016
Darren Robert Howlett, beloved husband of Lucy Howlett, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully in his sleep at his home in Vauxhall on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the age of 55 years.

Besides his loving wife Lucy, Darren is survived by their three children Dallas Howlett of Fort McMurray, Dillon Howlett (Michelle Brakeboer) of Medicine Hat and his children Nevaeh and Connor and Brittany (Jared) Tarswell of Vancouver, British Columbia; his parents Ernest and Agnes Howlett and siblings Pat (Joe) Haws, Margaret (Jake) Giesbrecht, Terry Howlett, Betty (Marlon) Hill, Gerald (Lori) Howlett, Florence (Dave) Erskine, Shane Howlett and Jackie (Greg) Pahl. Darren is also survived by Lucy’s parents Philip and Caroline Bosch and Lucy’s siblings Lee Bosch, Rita (Marvin) Herman, Beatrice Bosch and Sylvia Bosch. He will also be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Andrew Bosch and three nephews Troy Kallen, Dustin Kallen and Dalton Herman.
Darren was born in Bow Island on November 4, 1960, the fifth of nine children. He was raised in Burdett, Vauxhall and Coaldale and later joined the army. Darren returned to work in Vauxhall where he met the love of his life, Lucielle Bosch and they were married September 27, 1980. He was a man who knew he wanted children. He looked forward to sharing his knowledge and passions with Dallas, Dillon and Brittany. Darren was constantly learning throughout his life. He proudly earned his Power Engineering Third Class, his GED, welding certificate and pruning and landscaping certificate, to name a few. Incredible joy was added to his life with the birth of his grandchildren Nevaeh and Connor. He took every opportunity to spend time with them that he could. Darren enjoyed many passions throughout his life including woodworking, fishing, hunting and camping. He used those skills to create many fun filled experiences for everyone around him. Darren has left many energetic, funny and fond memories.
