HETESY

LYDIA HETESY, beloved wife of Bob Hetesy, of Coaldale, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the age of 76 years.

Besides her loving husband, Lydia is survived by her children, Deb (Don) Kovacs of Lethbridge, Dave (Patty) Hetesy of Coaldale and Doug Hetesy (Becky Little) of Lethbridge and grandchildren Marina Kovacs, Zakary and Juliah Hetesy and Morgan Zacharias-Hetesy (Sarah Gauthier). Lydia is also survived by her brother Ron Maack (Elaine Bonnett) of Calgary.

A Funeral Service will be held at MCKILLOP UNITED CHURCH, 2329 – 15 Avenue South, Lethbridge, on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 1:00 P.M., with Reverend Trevor Potter officiating.

Following the reception interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery.

HOFER

SARAH M HOFER, went to be with her Lord our Savior, on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the age of 88 years.

She read the Hutterite Bible, sang the Hutterite hymns; one song in particular, #235 from Gesang Buch – “Aline Und Doch Nicht Gaze Aliane,” and memorized and rehearsed Taufe Vers every evening before she went to bed.

She was never married but was a mother figure to many relatives, especially Lena Hofer. She was a grandmother figure to Abigail, Jordan, Reanna, Leeann, Lydia, Larissa, and Sarah, who was named after her, also Riley, Pauline, Rebecca and Emily. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. for an hour on the Sunnysite Colony. Interment will follow at the Sunnysite Cemetery.


HUNGRY WOLF

OKAN HUNGRY WOLF, passed away suddenly on the Blood Reserve, on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at the age of 43 years.

A Family Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 4:00 P.M.

A Wake Service will follow at GLADSTONE HALL – Blood Reserve, AB from 6:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M.

A Funeral Service will be held at GLADSTONE HALL on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 1:00 P.M.

TALLOW

It is with profound sadness that we announce IVAN GARRY TALLOW peacefully passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, Ab., after a lengthy illness. Ivan fought a courageous battle; however, he was destined to be in the spirit world.

He is survived by his mother, May Tallow (Pete Knife), special companion, Roberta Nippi, children; Deisrae, Mae, Keisha (Cody Young Pine), Kristin (Tyler Cappo); adopted children; Jasmine (Willie Shade), Hank, & Melissa. His grandchildren; Savannah, Brandon Jr., Darrius, Durell, Telise, Kassian, Delbert Jr., Neenah, Nevaeh, and Tyler Jr. Numerous nephews and nieces that all had a special bond with their uncle. He also leaves behind his siblings; Marvin (Marlene), Debbie (Warner Many Bears), John, Cameron, and Tina. His aunties, Theresa Scout, Santanita Manychief, Pauline Tallow, and Joan (Joseph) White Man Left. The Families of Tallow, Willows, Crow Chief, Many Chiefs, Striped Wolf, First Charger, Oka, Red Crow and White Feathers. Ivan came from a large extended family and had many friends.

Ivan was pre-deceased by his father, Cecil Tallow; brother Merlin Tallow; grandparents: Mark Tallow, Helen and Henry Cochrane, John Sr. and Mary Many Chiefs; Uncles and Aunts; Dinah & Allred Red Crow, Queenie & Morris Shouting, Josephine & Wallace Oka, Della Crow Chief, Roy Tallow, Rosaline & Louis Crow Chief, Ray & Adeline Many Chief, Cecil Many Chief, John Many Chief, Dora & Robert Big Sorrel Horse, Nora Scout

The Family Service will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Monday, August 8th at 5:00 p.m. followed by the Wake Service at the Senator Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Blood Reserve on Tuesday, August 9th at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the Blood Band Cemetery.

BASIL JOSEPH WOODARD, loving husband of Roberta Woodard of Lethbridge, passed away at the St. Michael’s Palliative Care on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at the age of 88 years.

A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at ST. MARTHA’S CATHOLIC CHURCH on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Dennis McDonald and Rev. James Hagel, co-celebrating.
