Arthur Clarkson Anderson, passed away in Bow Island on Friday, November 18, 2016 at the age of 94 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Evangelical Free Church, 214 – 4 Avenue West, Bow Island on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Evangelical Free Church, 214 – 4 Avenue West, Bow Island on Thursday, November 24, 2016 with a musical prelude starting at 1:00 P.M. followed by the service at 1:30 P.M. Mrs. Anne Hagen of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Mr. Marvin Hagen, passed away at the Lethbridge Legacy Lodge on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the age of 93 years. William “Bill” Bilesky

February 3, 1922

– November 16, 2016

William “Bill” Bilesky passed away peacefully in Lethbridge on November 16, 2016 at the age of 94 years.

Bill leaves to mourn his granddaughter Geryl-Lynn (nee Hagen) Broer; grandsons Trevor and Jeff Marsh; great grandsons Austin, William, Jude Marsh; son in laws Garry Hagen, Phil & (Sue) Marsh.

He was predeceased by his parents Gregory and Sophie Bilesky; wife Dora Bilesky; daughters Alberta Hagen, Mary Elaine “Lano” Marsh; son Carlyle Bilesky; grandsons Randy Marsh and Brad Hagen.

Bill was born February 3, 1922 in Skowaityn Poland. His dad immigrated to Canada in 1924 followed by Bill and his mother in 1928 and they eventually settled in Alberta. Bill enlisted in the air force in 1942, it was during this time he met Dora Hill, and they were married in June of 1944. Bill was discharged from the air force in 1945 and they settled in Lethbridge, where Bill worked for many years as a parts man for Beny Chev Olds. They moved to Edmonton for a while to be near family, before retiring back in Lethbridge. Bill and Dora enjoyed an active life together; travelling, camping, visiting friends and family, they were also active members of the Salvation Army in Lethbridge and Edmonton.

After Dora passed, Bill moved into the Blue Sky Lodge and then into the Legacy Lodge, where he stayed busy with all the lodge activities up to his passing. Bill will be remembered by all who knew and loved him as kind gentle man.

A special thanks to Dr. K Frick (family doctor) and to the nurses, care givers and staff of the Legacy Lodge for their special care to Bill.

A Graveside Service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery at 2:00pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 with Pastor Rodger Halvorsen, officiating.

CHISTE

March 7, 1925

– November 14, 2016

BRUNO LUIGI CHISTE passed away peacefully on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the age of 91. Bruno is survived by his beloved wife, Maria “Marie” and their three children Adele (Clarke) Hunter, Karen (Dave) O’Dwyer and Gary (Diane) Chiste. He is also survived by nine granddaughters, Andrea (Mike), Diana (Komie), Renae (Casey), Paula (Adam), Erin (Mike), Lauren, Leah, Sarah, and Michaela. Bruno loved to laugh and play with his eleven great grandchildren, Emmett, Haddie, Sydney, Graham, Dylan, Ellie, Norah, Aida, Russell, Rhys, and David. He is also survived by his cousin, Lino Chiste and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Adamo and Elena, his brother Joe, and his sisters Lillian and Mary.

Bruno was born on March 7, 1925 in Commerce, Alberta and was raised on a farm outside of Diamond City. He married Marie on November 15, 1952. In addition to farming in Diamond City, Bruno worked as a steam engineer at Purity Dairy and later at Palm Dairy. He ended his career on a tractor working on the grounds crew at the University of Lethbridge.

While Bruno was hardworking, he was always young at heart and loved to have fun sometimes at the expense of those around him. He had many creative talents that allowed him to play any instrument he could get his hands on, sing or whistle any tune, or share secret messages with his family with his dazzling ability to mirror write. Throughout his life he was resourceful and was able to fix or build anything. His creations will treasured by his family.

A prayer service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. with Teresa Grice officiating.

A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH – 2405- 12th Ave. South, Lethbridge, AB on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. with Father Jack Bastigal celebrating. A Private Family Graveside Service will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories or a charity of your choice.

LARSEN

RICHARD (DICK) JOSEPH LARSEN, beloved father and grandfather, passed away Friday November 18, 2016 following a car accident.

Born on August 1, 1953 to parents Richard Lewis and Lois (Fowlke) Larsen, of Provo, Utah. Dick loved his family fiercely, spending most of his free time, and early retirement with his wife Maureen, his children, and his grandchildren.

Dick was always up for an adventure, whether it be a roadtrip to visit family in Utah, taking his grandkids out fishing and kayaking, or venturing out to serve the orphans in Peru. Dick’s immense passion for service was a defining part of his personality, his heart was full of love, compassion and concern for his fellow man.

After family and service, his biggest loves were genealogy, gardening and chocolate cake. Dick loved his work in the temple and on a service mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He put his whole heart into all that he did and will be greatly missed by many.

Dick is survived by his wife Maureen; his children, Jess Larsen (Stephanie), Nick Larsen (Keshia), Meg Cano (Jorge), and Jill Daylong (Treavor); his grandchildren, Kyanne, Bridge, Olivia, Finley, Nixon, Rusty, Atreyu, Grey, Ziah, Piper, Javi, Aldo, and Hanks.

Friends may meet the family at the LDS – Raymond Stake Centre on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. or prior to the funeral service on Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.

All are welcome to attend the Funeral Service which will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, RAYMOND STAKE CENTRE, 2 North – 200 West, Raymond, Alberta.

Interment to follow at the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.

GFRERER

MARKO PIERO GFRERER, beloved son of Peter and Sophia Gfrerer, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, November 12th, 2016 at the age of 40 years.

Mark was born Feb 11, 1976 and was blessed with a strong character and generous nature. He loved sports, especially football and mixed martial arts and enjoyed listening to music and caring for animals – he was very proud to have started a foundation for animal rescue. His dogs, Caesar and Tyson, meant the world to him. Mark touched the lives of all those who knew him, he was a compassionate gentle giant and was a honourable and loyal man who was devoted to his family and friends and deeply believed in helping those in need. We will sincerely miss him.

Mark was predeceased by his sister Victoria, and survived by his parents, Peter and Sophia Gfrerer, his sisters, Maria (Mike) Gfrerer of Calgary and Charlotte (Brian) Buckler, and nieces, Nicole and Alicia of Calgary.

The Memorial Mass will be held Friday, November 25, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 2405-12 Ave S, Lethbridge, with Father Lucas officiating. Reception and tributes to follow in the banquet hall. The committal service will held in the Mountain View Cemetery at a later date.
