Abram Wiebe

1943 – 2017

Mr. Abram Wiebe of Coaldale, beloved husband of Mrs. Gladys (Vaselenak) Wiebe, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the age of 74.

Family and friends are invited to pay their final respects between 12:00pm – 2:00pm on Monday, April 10, 2017 at the COALDALE FUNERAL HOME, 1711 20 Street, Coaldale, AB.

A Graveside service will follow at 2:00pm on Monday, April 10, 2017 at the COALDALE CEMETERY, MENNONITE SECTION, Coaldale, AB.

Beryl Leslie

1931 – 2017

Mrs. Beryl Leslie of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. DC Leslie; loving mother to Dave (Denise) and Sue; and grandmother to Brett and Cassidy, passed away suddenly at the Good Samaritans North, on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the age of 85 years.

Cremation has taken place. A private family internment will take place in Regina at a later date.

JACKSON

JAY JAMES JACKSON, 77, of Cardston, AB was reunited with his beloved wife Dora Reil Jackson on April 7th, 2017. He is survived by his 5 children and their families; Bruce (Gina), James (Michelle), Juliann (Dalan) Sommerfeldt, Dale (Stacy), Sam (Shelley), and 6 of his siblings; Bert (Zona-deceased), Delia- deceased (Doug-deceased)Fox, Iris (Bob-deceased) Chalmers, Roland (Connie), Norris (LaRene), Janet (Leo) Anderson, Dixie (Steve) Kirkwood; as well as 34 grandchildren and 71/2 great grandchildren.

He was a man of the land who farmed in Hill Spring, Stettler, and Raymond. He was generous with his time and means. He shared his love of nature with all who knew him.

Friends may meet the family at the Legacy Funeral Home in Cardston on Monday, April 10th, from 7 to 8 pm or at the church from 9:00 to 9:45 am prior to the Service.

The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cardston Alberta West Stake Centre, 846 1 Ave West, Cardston, AB., on Tuesday, April 11th, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in the Hill Spring Cemetery, Hill Spring, Alberta.

JOHNSON

H. FAY GIBB JOHNSON, beloved wife of the late Stanley Dale Johnson, passed away on April 6, 2017 at the age of 86 years.

Fay is survived by her children, Gary (Jennifer), Rita (Eric) Peterson, Wayne (Jocelyn), Ron (Patti) and Barbara (Gerry) Selk and her brother, Lawrence Gibb.

She was predeceased by cherished granddaughters, Ashley Johnson and Candice Johnson Zimmermann.

Fay was born April 17, 1930 in Cardston and was raised and attended school in Hillspring. After furthering her education at Brigham Young University, she returned to Alberta and married Stan, May 3, 1950. They settled in Cardston, where they remained throughout their married life.

Fay was devoted to her children and her church but for many years also made a significant contribution to the success of the family business.

As a youth, Fay participated in theatre and speech arts and was part of a troupe at BYU which entertained in that area. In spite of her shyness, she delighted audiences in Southern Alberta for many years with her comedic readings, performing at weddings, and church and civic events.

Fay was a kind and gentle soul, whose love and example blessed the lives of her immediate family together with 20 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren, and will be felt for generations to come.

The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, South Hill Chapel, in Cardston, on Wednesday, April 12th, at 11:00 a.m.

Friends may meet the family from 10:00 to 10:45 am prior to the service. Interment to follow in the Cardston Cemetery.

LAMB

MRS. BELLA LAMB, of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. George Lamb, passed away peacefully at the Edith Cavell Care Centre on Sunday, April 2th, 2017 at the age of 107 years.

She is survived by her son Henry; her beloved grandchildren Scott (Tara) Sleightholm, Shonna Lamb and Kyle Lamb; and her great-grandsons Ethan, Gage, Nolan, Ronin and Aidan.

Bella was a kind and gentle soul who made an impact on all those lucky enough to have her touch their lives. She lived her life with grace and kindness, taking in others who were in need of a place to stay. She had a beautiful smile that lit up her entire face and her grandchildren were the lucky recipients of many of those smiles. Her quiet faith provided her comfort and direction during any of life’s challenges.

A Visitation will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Wednesday, April 12th, 2017 between 6:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.

A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, April 13th, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. with Danny Ip officiating.

Interment will follow at the Chinese Cemetery – 6th Avenue North, Lethbridge, AB.

Mrs. Zhen Zhu Pan of Lethbridge beloved wife of the late Mr. Yo Ton Pan, passed away on April 1, 2017 in Calgary, at the age of 92 years.

A Visitation will be held at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4th St. S.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4th St. S. Interment will take place in the Mountain View Cemetery.

TWIGG

ANDREW TWIGG, beloved husband of Joanne, passed away in Cardston on April 1, 2017 at the age of 70 years.

A Family Service will be at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Monday, April 10th from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. and the Wake Service will follow at the Moses Lake Community Hall, Blood Reserve from 7:00 – 11:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Blood Reserve on Tuesday, April 11th at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the Blood Band Cemetery.
