PETER BAYNE ANDERSON, beloved husband of Elaine Anderson, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the age of 69 years.

GASZLER

MAGDALENA (LENA) GASZLER passed away peacefully at the age of 87 in Raymond, Alberta on April 29, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband Vincent of 61 years, her parents John and Magdalena Till, and her brother John (Matilda) Till.

She is survived by her 3 daughters, Patsy (Randy) Heggie, Elaine (Bill) Leishman, and Peggy Gaszler. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

Lena was born in Varalja, Tolna, Hungary on November 18, 1929. She immigrated with her family to Canada in 1937. After graduating from Picture Butte High School, she attended the University of Alberta and then taught school in Coalhurst for 1 year. She married Vince in 1951 and they moved to the family farm north of Raymond.

Lena was a devoted wife and worked hard to support her husband on their sugar beet farm. She was a loving mother and grandmother and excellent homemaker. She loved to do many handicrafts, especially sewing for her daughters. Her husband and girls came first. Lena will be sadly missed by all her family.

Special thanks to Dr. Clayne Steed and Dr. Regan Steed and to the staff of the Raymond Long Term Care Facility for their compassion and kindness to Mom.

A Funeral Service will be held at Salmon and Sons Funeral Home, 433 Stubb Ross Road South, Lethbridge (entrance to the airport), on Wednesday May 3rd, 2017 at 11:00AM. Friends are welcome to meet with the family prior to the service from 10:00 – 10:45. Interment to follow in the Raymond Temple Hill Cemetery.

Michael Gorski

1924 – 2017

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Gorski, in the presence of his devoted companion Rita Berlando, at St. Michael’s Health Centre on April 29, 2017 at the age of 92 years. Michael was predeceased by his wife Margaretha in 1980; son John Sr. and grandson John Jr. Left to mourn is his granddaughter Michelle Gilling of Edmonton. Michael was born in Poland. He was a man of many talents and determination in undertaking every task. He was an employee with Honeywell Controls (Calgary) for over 35 years. In retirement, he singled handedly built and remodeled several homes in the town of Turin, AB. His enjoyment in life was to travel and visit his homeland in Poland, donating the care of his extended family. Many thanks to the staff, in particular to the professional LPN’s and his favorite Dr. Dalphond for all her personal visits and sincere care. A Funeral Mass will be held at ST. BASIL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH 604 – 13 Street North, Lethbridge, Alberta T1H 2S7 at 3:00pm on Thursday, May 4, 2017, with Father Lukas Drapal, celebrant. Interment will take place in Calgary on Friday, May 5, 2017.

PERRY

THORA MAE PERRY (nee Gygi)

June 9, 1927 – April 28, 2017

Beloved wife of the late Walter Perry of Lethbridge, passed away at the Good Samaratin’s Society – West Highlands at the age of 89 years.

She is the loving mother of: Grant (Sheryl) Perry of Lethbridge and Debbie White of Sherwood Park. Thora is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, her brother: Lamont (Doreen) Gygi and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mom was predeceased by her sister Beverly.

Our mom was born in Cardston to Herman & Ruth Gygi. In 1954, she married the love of her life, our dad, Walter Perry, who passed away in March 2002.

Mom’s love of life and people touched all those who knew her. She was a compassionate, thoughtful and honorable woman who loved her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB. on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017 at 1:00 P.M with Reverend Terry Shillington officiating.
