GEORGE MATHEW GROSS, of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Jean Gross, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, December 18, 2017 at the age of 84 years.

KAZUKO YAMAMURA

(nee Nishimura)

Dec 18, 1929 – Dec 14, 2017

Kay passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of December 14th at the Comox Valley North Island Hospital. She is survived by her husband Mits of 63 years, daughter Susan and sons Brian and James. Kay also leaves behind her siblings Al, Carl, Art and Eileen.

Kay lived a rich, full life after growing up in the farming community of Raymond, Alberta. She resided in Toronto, Montreal, Germany and Winnipeg before settling in the Comox Valley. She worked in Comox as a volunteer educational assistant at Comox Elementary School and eventually spent more than 10 years as a Ward Clerk at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Kay will always be fondly remembered for her sewing, needlework and knitting abilities not to mention her culinary and gardening skills.

In keeping with her wishes, there will not be a service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kay’s name can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.


KLEIN

EDNA LYALL KLEIN, of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Charles Klein, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, December 18th, 2017 at the age of 79 years.

Lottie Austin

1956 – 2017

Ms. Lottie Austin of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Dr. George Evelyn and Mother of Katherine and Jeremy Austin-Evelyn, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the age of 60 years. A celebration of her incredible life will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at the SOUTHMINSTER UNITED CHURCH, 1011 – 4 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Reverend James Grunden officiating. The service will be followed by a reception in Southminster Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lottie’s memory may be made to the Lethbridge YWCA Harbour House, a project dear to Lottie’s heart.

Rigmor “Riggy” Irene Merally

1946 – 2017

Mrs. Rigmor Merally of Coaldale, beloved wife of Mr. Eqbal “Ike” Merally, passed away at the Coaldale Health Care Centre on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the age of 71. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4th Street S., Lethbridge, Alberta, with Pastor Rob Mohns officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. For those who wish, memorial donations in honor of Rigmor’s love of animals, may be made to the Lethbridge and District Humane Society, 2920 – 16 Avenue N., Lethbridge, Alberta, T1H 5E9.
