JIMMY D. CAHOON, beloved husband of Kathleen Cahoon, passed away in Cardston on Wednesday, March 14th, 2018 at the age of 87 years.

Friends may meet the family on Monday, March 19th, 2018 at the Legacy Funeral Home in Cardston from 7:00 to 8:00 pm and on Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:45 am prior to the service.

1962 – 2018

Cindy Gail Castiglione passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 14, 2018 at the age of 55 years. Cindy is survived by her husband Arnold, her mother Gladys, her brother Les, her niece Carly, and her stepdaughter Linzay. A private memorial celebration will be held for Cindy at a later date. KAREN NEMEC

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Ms. Karen Elizabeth Nemec of Lethbridge, AB, who left us on March 12, 2018 at the age of 72, surrounded by her loved ones.Karen was the first born of 5 children on March 1, 1946 in Regina, Saskatchewan. She was full of life and loved to talk and visit with everyone. Karen had a love for animals and excelled at everything she set her mind to. She was a book keeper, then started selling Party Lite and absolutely loved it as she enjoyed being out and doing what she loved best; interacting with people. Karen was also involved with the Paw Society, volunteering and fostering cats. She is survived by her son Duane Eddy of Kamloops, BC & daughter Darla Baumann (Clayton) of Medicine Hat, AB, Grandchildren Lane & Cole, grandson Alexander Eddy (Jessica). Her brothers Bruce Buckmaster (Florence) of Calgary, AB & John Buckmaster (Sandy) of Creston, BC, and numerous nieces & nephews. Mrs. Pauline Orton, beloved wife of John Orton of Lethbridge, passed away on March 8, 2018 at Chinook Regional Hospital at the age of 98.She is the loving mother of Shirley Orton (Leonard) of Nobleford, Alberta & Marilyn Urban (Ken) of Denman Island, British Columbia.Pauline is survived by her 4 sisters: Ethel, Rosie, Esther & Mildred. BARBARA ROMBOUGH, beloved wife of Roger Rombough, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the age of 70 years.

Besides Barbara’s loving husband of 44 years Roger, she is survived by her children: Jennifer Rombough, Lindsey (Neill) O’Grady and Ian (Heidi) Rombough. Also left to cherish her memory are her five beautiful grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Taylor, T.J., Addyson and Ashton. She is also survived by a large extended family, too numerous to mention.

A Come and Go Reception will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB, on Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., with a family tribute at 3:00 P.M.

STORY

THOMAS “PHIL” STORY, beloved husband of the late Lois D. Story, passed away at Fairmont Extendicare on Monday, March 12th, 2018 at the age of 92 years.

Phil is survived by his son Peter (Denise) Story of Lethbridge and his daughter Patricia (Bruce English) Story of Edmonton; his three grandchildren Cathryn, Matthew and Jane. He is also survived by his sister Madeline Wylie of Saskatoon and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Robert Henry and Sarah Jane Story, as well as his two brothers Bill (Lois) Story and Bob (Millie) Story, sister Florence (Glen) Jones and brother-in-law James Wylie.

Born on a farm near Netherhill, Saskatchewan, Phil grew up working on the farm with his siblings. After graduating high school, he worked at numerous jobs around Saskatchewan and Alberta. He eventually settled in Lethbridge, working as a lab technician in the entomology department at the Lethbridge Research Station. He stayed there for 35 years.

He married his wife Lois on June 17, 1961 and they had their son Peter in 1962 followed by their daughter Patricia in 1967.

Phil was an active member of the First United Church for many years. This lead to him becoming quite involved with volunteering at the soup kitchen on a regular basis. He also volunteered with numerous organizations around Lethbridge. Phil enjoyed gardening, bowling, camping, cooking, and playing cribbage with friends. He was very active in theatre and musical theatre in Lethbridge as a member of Coaldale Little Theatre, Attic Theatre, Lethbridge Musical Theatre, and Playgoers for over 35 years. After his retirement at age 61, he and Lois travelled extensively throughout Canada and the U.S.A.

Phil was a wonderful person who was warm and welcoming to everyone he met. He loved to laugh and loved a good joke. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather to us. We will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00 A.M.
