Marge will be lovingly remembered by her son William “Billy” Brandics Jr. of Lethbridge; two brothers Julius (Maye) Martin and Andy (Goldi) Martin; sister-in-law Doreen Persley and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Marge was predeceased by her husband Bill Brandics Sr., her son Perry Joseph Brandics, her parents Julius Martin and Mary Borieny, step-father Martin Kolibar, father and mother-in-law Joe Sr. and Mary Brandics, brother and sister-in-law Joe Jr. and Beth Brandics, sister and brother-in-law Liz and Bill Persley.
Marge was born at the Galt Hospital in Lethbridge on January 2, 1935. She spent most of her childhood in Lethbridge and graduated from Lethbridge Collegiate Institute after which she attended Garbutt Business College. She then went on to work for the Lethbridge Court House as a clerk.
Marge loved to dance and met William, the love of her life, at a wedding they both were attending. They married and raised two sons on the Brandics farm just west of Taber. Marge loved her family, they were her world. Her love extended to all those she met, and she made many wonderful friendships through out her life, each one thinking they were her favorite.
Marge was a faithful member of the Catholic church and belonged to the Catholic Women’s League for more than fifty years. She had an adventurous side and loved all the places that she got to see including a trip to Ontario and many to British Columbia. She was always up for something new.
Marge’s passions in life were baking, cooking and gardening. Everyone got to sample her delicious fried chicken, cabbage rolls, apple strudel and buns when ever they dropped in to see her. Everyone was welcome in her home. Marge loved her gardens of fresh vegetables and fruit and more yummies came from there. Her flower gardens gave her so much joy and she loved to just sit amongst the flowers and smell their aroma. What most who knew her and will remember her for is how she cared for everyone and her service to all those in need.
Marge was one of a kind and will be miss by all.
A special thank you to all the staff on the fourth floor and in ICU at the Chinook Regional Hospital for giving such great care to Marge during her last few months of life.

SHIRLEY FAY FARR passed away on the 14th of July at the age of 83 years. Born in London, she trained as a nurse in Bromley and moved to Hamilton in 1958. After adding midwifery to her skills she practiced in Burlington and Prince Rupert. She then joined the Canadian Army and was posted to Churchill. Thus began 55 years of mutual support and love. After three years of service in Germany they returned to Kingston before settling in Coaldale in 1968.Over the years they enjoyed traveling Canada from coast to coast, Europe and the UK. Shirley’s life was devoted to kindness, care and support for others. She was a committed volunteer with great respect for her community. She will be profoundly missed by Jim, her daughter Tanya and sons Keith and Laird (Leila) and his children Teagan and Tavis. Shirley requested that there be no funeral. A family memorial will be held at a later date.
