KLOVANSKY

MIRK KLOVANSKY passed away, surrounded by his loving family, in Raymond, Alberta on Friday January 25th, 2019 at the age of 83. He was a loving Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and friend to many.

Mirk was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on March 16th, 1935 to Louis and Melanie Klovansky and was raised, along with his sister Carol, in Picture Butte. He later married Lydean (Peterson) Klovansky, and moved to Lethbridge where their raised their 5 children. He resided there for all but the last three years of his life. Due to many health challenges, he moved to Prairie Ridge Care Center in Raymond. He lived a peaceful and stress free life, while being surrounded by family who could tend and care for his needs. It was a great privilege to serve and comfort him over the past several years. He was always a self- driven and motivated worker who strived for nothing less than a 100% effort. From selling cars off the street in front of his home to building and owning two businesses (El Dorado Sales and Surprizes Furniture), he was passionate about his work. He always drove a nice car and kept immaculately clean and well cared for but fewer things brought him greater joy than watching his children and grandchildren participate in various sports, activities and musical endeavors. Dad was very proud of his children and grandchildren and always enjoyed their visits.

Mirk was predeceased by his parents, his sisters Louise and Mary and his beloved son Curtis.

He is survived by his sister Carol (Jim – deceased) Wilton, Lydean (Peterson) Klovansky and their children Shelly (Jim) Ralph, Kelly (Scott) Dahl, Darren and Jason (Tiffany) Klovansky as well as 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom he loved and adored.

He will always be remembered for his charisma, quick wit but mostly for his expression of, “THANK YOU” to all he associated with and those that served and cared for him.

His family would like to express their appreciation for all those who tended to his needs.

The family wishes to invite friends and loved ones to his Funeral that will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, TAYLOR STREET CHAPEL, 221 North 400 West, Raymond Alberta Wednesday January 30, 2019 at 11:00am.
