Barbara Clifton

1927 – 2019

Mrs. Barbara Clifton of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. George Clifton, passed away at Edith Cavell Care Centre on Monday, April 15, 2019 at the age of 91 years. Barbara was born in Lethbridge to parents Marshall and Mary Livingston at the Galt Hospital on April 26, 1927. She received her education at the Coalhurst School, and then went on to teach in Coalhust for 36 years. She enjoyed teaching, traveling and loved to read. Barbara is survived by her sons Gordon and (Dale Lynn) Clifton; grandchildren Shaun (JJ) Clifton; great grandchildren Madison and Taylor; and sister in law Alice Livingston. Besides her loving husband George, Barbara was predeceased by her parents Marshall and Mary Livingston, and brothers Gordon and Laurence Livingston. Family and Friends are invited to pay their respects at 9:00am on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta. Interment will follow in the Archmount Cemetery.

HOLMAN

DeWayne Elbert HOLMAN, beloved husband of Ruth Holman of Taber, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the age of 68 years.

Besides his loving wife Ruth, DeWayne is survived by his children; Dustin (fiancée Aleigha Lamb), Tyler, Shantelle and Clint Holman, his mother; Edna Holman, siblings; Terry (Boyd) Sillito, Linda (Frank) Babranyi, Shelly (Tim) Hall, Tona (Steve) Kutanzi and Gary Holman, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his twin; Wayne and his father; Orlin Holman.

DeWayne was born in Taber on April 16, 1951. He grew up on the family farm. In 1991 he met the love of his life; Ruth Ann Edwards. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Taber Stake Center, 4709 – 50 Avenue prior to the service on Monday, April 22, 2019 from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Robert Layton conducting. Interment will follow in the Barnwell Cemetery.

Peter Huvenaars
1932 – 2019
Our family sadly announces the passing of our beloved dad, Peter Huvenaars, who passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, in his sleep at his home in Taber on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the age of 86 years.

Peter is survived by his children, daughter Marian (Rick) Stamp of Enchant and their family Greg (Sarah) Stamp (their children Hannah, Abigail, Julia, Paul and Clara), Aimee (Blake) Klatt (their children Blake, Rylie and Chloie), Matthew (Dynae) Stamp (their children Lucy and Nora), Nathan (Christine) Stamp (their children, Bennett, William and Baylee); son John (Lisa) Huvenaars of Coaldale and their children Mark Huvenaars (Fiona), Carly (Cam) Hazell (their children Walker and Archer); son Richard (Linda) Huvenaars of Hays their children Carl Huvenaars (Rachael) and Christina (Chris) deWinter; daughter Pat (Ray) Friesen of Taber and their children Erin (Jaden) Bettcher (their son Jace), and Ryan Friesen (Hailly). He is also survived by five brothers and by Netta’s brothers, sisters and their families. Peter will also be remembered by Olive, his wife of four years, along with her five children and their spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by Netta Huvenaars, his wife of fifty six years, his great granddaughter Mary Josephine Stamp, his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
Peter was born on August 7, 1932 in Uden, Holland. He immigrated to Canada in 1956 to complete the pursuit of the love of his life, Netta, who moved to Canada with her family the year before. Peter and Netta married in Lethbridge on June 22, 1957. They moved several times within Southern Alberta before settling on the farm at Hays in 1962. Together, they raised their family there with Peter taking pride in his family and working hard to build their farm. Peter and Netta retired to Taber in 2006. After Netta’s passing on February 18, 2014, Peter met Olive Pitts and they were married on April 11, 2015 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Peter enjoyed carpentry, gifting many projects to his family, travelling, curling and card playing with the seniors group, gardening and keeping his yards always so beautiful. Mostly he enjoyed spending his time with family and friends sharing his many stories. Peter continued to have great respect for farmers and was always interested in what was happening in the farming industry. He lived life to the fullest until his final day, and he will be greatly missed.

Snelgrove

Maureen Snelgrove (nee Quick)

March 17, 1950- April 6, 2019

Born in Wetaskiwin Alberta. Married to Glen Snelgrove since Sept. 5, 1970 at St Luke’s Anglican Church in Red Deer Alberta.

Lovingly survived by her husband, 6 children and 10 grandchildren: Christopher Wesley Thomas Snelgrove, Maya Esperanza, Zane Christopher, Seth Gabriel; Calinda Jane Snelgrove & Michael Wright; Ashley Douglas & Kristin Lynne Snelgrove, Mason Lane, Blythe Lorelei, Thalia Maeve; Carmen Victoria & Tyler Glenn Madill, Roland Thomas, Zakari Henry; Naomi Patricia & Vincent Steven Roberts, Violet Miriam, Charles Maurice; Renae Elizabeth & Truman James Whitehead.

Maureen led a magnificent life and was loved and respected by many. She lived to the fullest and had many marvelous adventures. We are forever grateful to have had the time we did with her. Her guidance will be missed, but her lessons will be carried on.
