DAVID JOHN BLACKMER, of Coutts, born on March 5, 1957 in Lethbridge, passed away at the Milk River Health Centre on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the age of 62 years.

A Prayer Service will be held at ST. PETER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 321 Main Street N.W., Milk River, AB on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. with Father Roque Pereira officiating.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. PETER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Roque Pereira celebrating.

A Private Family Interment will be held at the Coutts Cemetery.

Diana Hudson
1960 – 2019

Diana Louise Hudson, passed away in Taber on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the age of 59 years.

Diana is survived by her parents Dick and Mae Hudson of Taber; sister Cindy (David) Varga of Taber and brother Clifford (Carol) Hudson of Kitscoty. She will also be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews Courtney (Trevor) Daniels and family, Blaine Varga, Paige (Anthoney) Smith and family, Thomas and Kelly Hudson, Jeffrey Hudson (MacKayla Rombough) and family.
Diana was born in Taber on January 21, 1960 to Dick and Mae Hudson. She was raised in Purple Springs were she attended Kinniburgh School till grade six, then finished her education in Taber at WR Myers. After graduation she went to Minneapolis, Minnesota to become a travel agent. Her job took her to many locations throughout Alberta for many years. Diana enjoyed traveling herself and went to many places around the world such as Brazil, Mexico, Cuba and the Dominican Republic. After many years in the travel industry, she took a job at McCain’s where she has been employed until the time of her passing.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Diana’a name may be made directly to a charity of one’s choice.

1995 – 2019

McKay Jared LePard, beloved son of Todd and Gayle LePard, passed away in Taber on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the age of 23 years.

McKay is survived by his loving parents, Todd and Gayle LePard, his brother Ty LePard of Taber and nephew Gavin, his brother Brett (McKayla) LePard of Lethbridge, his sister Hayley LePard (fiancee Bo Mullenaux) of Barnwell, along with many extended family and friends.
McKay was born in Lethbridge on September 10, 1995. He spent his early years in Barnwell where he had many great friends, teammates, coaches and teachers. McKay attended WR Myers High School during grades 10 and 11 and graduated from Lethbridge Collegiate Institute in 2013. He completed three years of an carpentry apprenticeship at Lethbridge College. McKay was a talented carpenter employed by Bevco Construction. He was skilled and knowledgeable in his trade and was always eager to learn new things.
The most important part of McKay’s life were his family and friends. McKay loved all aspects of life including camping, fishing, hunting and playing on the Well-Tech softball team. He and his girlfriend, Lindsay Langkopf shared many memories together riding horses and especially loved their dogs, Phoebe and Maverick.
He had an infectious smile and lit up any room he was in. McKay was the first to give a hug, from the bottom of his heart, which always seemed to melt away all of your problems. He was loved by anyone who knew him.
The family would like to sincerely thank all those who have reached out to them during this difficult time.

PAHARA

LILLIAN PAHARA passed away peacefully at Legacy Lodge, with loving family and caring staff at her side, on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the age of 95 years.

Lillian is deeply missed but fondly remembered by her children and their families: Dennis and his children Cindy and Clint; Monte’s son Shane (Karri) and their children Sara and Kaiden; Renee (Ian McGillivray) and stepdaughter Mariah McGillivray-Corey (Wes); Debbie Morin (Mike) and son Cole (Emily).

Lillian is predeceased by her husband John Pahara; granddaughter Shannon, great-grandson Jace, and all her sisters and brothers as well as her son Monte, who recently passed away, joining Lillian and these many loved ones.

Lillian was born in Bethune, Saskatchewan to Jon and Mary Lustig. She often said, “Both of my parents died when I was very young but my brothers and sisters were determined to keep us all together.” And did so. This love and strength of family and community defined Lillian’s gentle but spirited nature, throughout decades of farm life and active retirement.

Lillian was a long time volunteer to many organizations including The Lethbridge and District Humane Society where her love shone for animals “great and small”. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation there would be greatly appreciated: 2920 – 16 Avenue North, Lethbridge, AB T1H 5E9.

Her family extends their deepest thanks to the caring staff of Legacy Lodge and Paradigm Home Care. They brightened Lillian’s life everyday and became family too.

John Robert “Bob” Sinclair

1927- 2019

Bob passed away March 12, 2019 at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital. Born 1927 in St. James (Winnipeg) MB. Bob is survived by his loving wife Elaine; two daughters Kelly Mueller (Lenard) and Sheri White; grandsons Jarett Mueller and Aaron White; one nephew; three nieces and their families, Dauphin and Winnipeg and one cousin, Dave Sinclair – Victoria, B.C. Bob was predeceased by his only brother Frank in 2017. Graduating from St. James High School – Winnipeg, Bob began work with the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1944 – Retiring in 1987. During Retirement, Bob enjoyed many hours golfing at the Raymond Golf Course, enjoyed bowling, stamp collecting and travelling. Bob was a dedicated and well-respected Freemason for nearly sixty years. While able to be active, Bob faithfully contributed as a member, officer and presiding officer of the various Masonic bodies that Bob belonged to. On the York Rite side, these included North Star Lodge No. 4, Shekinah Chapter No. 4 Royal Arch Masons, Acre Preceptory No. 66 Knights Templar, Alberta Council No. 5 and Ararat Lodge No. 5 Cryptic Rite Masons. Bob was honoured by invitation to the Order of the Red Cross of Constantine – Wild Rose Conclave No. 37, York Rite Sovereign College of North America – Diversity College No. 202 and Knights of the York Cross of Honour – Western Canada Priory No. 35. On the Scottish Rite side of Masonry, Bob belonged to and served as an officer with Lethbridge Lodge Of Perfection and Rose Croix, as well as Consistory in Calgary. In addition to serving in Lethbridge, Bob held a number of appointed Grand Offices for the: Grand Lodge of Alberta, Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons of Alberta and the Sovereign Great Priory of Canada. As a mark of the esteem Bob was held with by his fellow Brothers, Companions and Knights, he was granted Emeritus status by the York Rite bodies. We will be honouring “Bobs” life in a way he would appreciate with a Celebration of his life which will be held at 11:00am, on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at MASONIC HALL, 315A – 10 STREET SOUTH, Lethbridge, Alberta. RICHARD STEWART SPACKMAN, passed away on Thursday April 25, 2019 as a result of ALS. He was 65. He will be cremated.
