Besides her loving husband Robert, Irmgard was predeceased by her sons, Peter and Robert (Jr) and daughter Gisela Mainzer as well as her parents from Germany, Emil and Anna Berkau and seven siblings. Irmgard was the last surviving member of her family.

Mom enjoyed being a homemaker her entire life. She and Robert worked hard raising six children and spent many hours looking after her home and large garden with the many flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed baking and cooking incredible meals for her family. After her children left home, she enjoyed the many fishing trips and was especially delighted when she out fished Dad.

The family would like to send a special thank you to all the staff at Coaldale Health Centre Continuous Care for their attention and care they gave her during her four years with them.

Family and friends are welcome to a Celebration of Irmgard’s Life at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Lee Loveridge officiating.
