BESSEM

SIMONNE MARIA BESSEM, beloved wife of the late Henry Bessem, passed away peacefully at Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at the age of 92 years.

Besides her loving daughter Marie (Jake), Simonne is survived by her granddaughter, Carey-Ann (Michial) Van Es of Powell River, BC; her grandson, Graham Hooge of Edmonton; and three great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Samual and Matthew Van Es, all of Powell River, BC. She is also survived by two nieces, Wendy Liebel of Vernon, BC and Brenda Ross of Regina, SK, and one nephew, Steven Vanryckeghem of Campbell River, BC.

Simonne was born on January 22, 1928 in Rouselare, West Flanders, Belgium to Arciles & Martha Vanryckeghem. The family emigrated to Canada in 1950 and, nine months later, Simonne married the love of her life—Henry Bessem. They lived in Stirling until 1965. Simonne worked in the sugar beets for many seasons. Upon retiring to Lethbridge, Mom & Dad enjoyed many happy years together, especially while camping in Glacier Park and Kalispell.

Mom will be remembered for her bright spirit and love of her family. At her request, there will be no funeral, but a graveside service will take place in the springtime in Stirling.

NORMAN REE BROADHEAD, passed away on November 24th, 2020 in Cardston, AB, surrounded by family, at the age of 90 years. Isolda Vaselenak

1928 – 2020

Mrs. Isolda Vaselenak of Coaldale, beloved wife of the late Mr. Albert Vaselenak passed away peacefully with family by her side at Coaldale Long Term Care Facility on Monday, November 23, 2020 at the age of 91 years.

A Private Family service will be held with burial in the Mountain View Cemetery.

MABEL ELEANOR WITBECK

1928 -2020

We are saddened to announce that our mother, Mabel Eleanor Witbeck, passed away on 24 November 2020 at the age of 92.

She is predeceased by her husband Teddy A. Witbeck, her parents John Moors and Florence (Elliott) Moors, her siblings Margaret (Merril) Adams, Mary (Peter) Dewar and Bob Moors and two of her children, William Ryan Finch and Laura Lee Finch. She is survived by her brother John Moors of Ottawa, Ontario and sister Ruth Rollingson of Magrath, Alberta.

Together, Eleanor and her eternal companion, Teddy A. Witbeck, raised 9 children. Teddy J. and Barbara Witbeck of Raymond, Alberta, Greg (Shana) Witbeck of Vernal, Utah, Paulette (Gene) Ganz of Raymond, Alberta, Cecil (Dianne) Finch of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Mary Lou Lockridge of Edmonton, Alberta, Jo-Anne Finch of Lethbridge, Alberta, Margy Witbeck of Raymond, Alberta and Teddy (Cathy) Witbeck of Cottonwood Heights, Utah.

Teddy A. and Eleanor have 28 grandchildren and 60 great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. Including Teddy A., Eleanor and their 9 children, that makes 100 in the family.

A private family Funeral Service will be held on November 30, 2020 in Raymond, AB.
