BENCI

With great sadness we announce the passing of FRANK BENCI JR of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Helen, who passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital, with his family by his side, on December 10th, 2020, at the age of 100 years.

He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Helen, and their children; John (Leslie) Benci of Winnipeg, and their son Brian (Heather) Benci; Shirley Coughlan and her children Paul (Sarah), Glen (Carmen), and Kristy (Debb); Dennis (Sue) Benci of Carmangay and their daughters Julie (Paul), and Delaine (Luigi); Dianna (Wendlin) Wandler of Lethbridge and their daughters Jody (Rich), Laura (Clayton), and Kerry (Shawn).

Frank is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren, who were always the love of his life.

He is predeceased by his parents, sister, brother and many other family and friends.

Frank was born in Zavar, Czechoslovakia, on January 17th, 1920. He came to Canada at the age of sixteen with his mother Amalia, sister Rosie and brother Louis, to join his father Frank Sr. Frank joined the army in 1941, where he served for five years. After returning from the war, Frank and Helen were married in 1946. They began farming in the Picture Butte area, and expanded to Carmangay, all the while raising their four children.

Frank and Helen enjoyed travelling to numerous places. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. He loved partying with many friends and family. He enjoyed farming for many years and after retiring in 1984, he still remained active helping his families on their farms.

Frank was one of a kind and he will be forever remembered, loved and missed, but never forgotten.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. A Mass will be live streamed and may be accessed via Frank’s obituary on the Cornerstone website.

Mr. Douglas “Doug” Cannons of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Mrs. Brenda “Mikki” Cannons, passed away at St. Michael’s Palliative Care Centre on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the age of 67 years.

GEORGE

HELEN ROSE GEORGE, beloved wife of the late Frank George, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the age of 94 years.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: D’Arcy George and Charlotte George, both of Lethbridge, and grandsons Jesse and Matteo George and their father, David Albizzati. She is also survived by her sister Lillian (Fernand) Nadeau and three brothers: Herb (Diana) Klein, Arthur Klein, and Bernard Klein as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, Frank, she was predeceased by her brother Charles Klein.

Helen was very compassionate and loving and always put the needs of others first. Her twin grandsons were the apple of her eye.

Helen was laid to rest beside her husband Frank at Mountain View Cemetery.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at a later date, when many people who knew and loved her can attend.

JANZEN

WILLIAM JANZEN, beloved husband of the late Dorothy Janzen, of Coaldale, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Coaldale Health Centre, on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the age of 91 years.

William will be laid to rest with Dorothy in the Coaldale Cemetery in a private family service at a later date.

George Kindt
1937 – 2020

 On Friday, December 11, 2020, George Wilfret Kindt, loving husband and father of five children, passed away in Raymond at the age of 83 years.
  As a result of the restrictions regarding Covid-19 and the government recommendations, a private burial service will be held at Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Condolences may be forwarded by visiting our website at http://www.southlandfuneral.com.
 George is survived by his children Alan (Charleen), Michael (Robbi), Susan (Mark), Brian (Alyssa) and Barbara (Ian) as well as seventeen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
 George has been reunited with his loving wife of fifty one years, Reta Kindt; parents Stephaan Kindt and Emelia Kindt (nee Coppieters); brothers Richard, Willie, Ben (Urbain) and Roy all of Raymond.
 George was born May 16, 1937 in Raymond where he was mainly raised, and passed away in this same town where he and his wife worked hand in hand  to create a wonderful life full of kindness and generosity.
 George enjoyed a more simple life of raising family and hardwork, he took pride in his passion for woodworking, mechanics and his love of the outdoors. He was truly an inspiration and loved by all passersby in Raymond as he could be found walking daily, sharing a friendly wave, a genuine smile or a little kindhearted conversation which may have been the highlight of his day.
 We are truly grateful to have had this kind, loyal and generous man as our DAD! He will be greatly missed by all!

Keith Lees passed away suddenly, on Monday, December 14, 2020.

He is survived by his loving wife Verna and blended family. Wayne Lees (Leah), Marilyn Jensen (Wayne), Ron Gertzen (Carol), Tracy Fowler (David), Tami Johnson and Jamie Whitney. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren and will be missed dearly.
