GERARD “GERRY” DEHEER, beloved husband of Coby DeHeer, passed away peacefully with family by his side at St. Michael’s Health Centre, on Friday, September 24, 2021, at the age of 91 years.

FRANTZ

Donald G. Frantz, age 87, finished his final race and entered glory Sept 20, 2021, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Don was born in 1934 in Alameda, California. He lived a full and productive life as a member of the Coast Guard, a missionary translator, a distinguished linguist & university professor, author of the Blackfoot Dictionary, Iron Man triathlete, loving husband, father and grandfather, and faithful follower of his beloved Saviour Jesus Christ.

He is survived by sister Joy, children Lisa, Timothy, & Jeff, 18 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren. He is preceded by Patty, his wife of 54 years, and 10 miscarried great-grandchildren.

The family would especially like to thank the amazing nurses & staff of the Chinook Hospital in unit 5B who provided Don with loving care during his final weeks.

EVA GOODMAN

Eva Josephine Goodman, 82, beloved wife of Brad Goodman, Lethbridge, AB passed away peacefully on September 22 surrounded by her loving family.

Eva was born in Mozart, Saskatchewan, to parents Jim & Olga Bjornson, and loved being a big sister to twin brothers Garth & Gary.

In 1958 she met Brad, and they were wed three years later, on December 27, 1961.

Brad ‘n’ Eva were inseparable for nearly 60 years. They had 2 boys, Jim & Donn (Ashley) and a very special granddaughter, Abby.

Eva had a long and fulfilling career at The Bank of Montreal where she made many lasting friendships in the community.

She was passionate about her family, gardening, travel, and loved music, especially good Jazz When she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found tending to her prized lilies, reading a good book or cheering on her beloved Roughriders.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Those wishing to pay tribute may donate to any worthy charity in Eva’s honour.

HOCHMAN

ANGELA IRENE HOCHMAN, beloved wife of the late Charles Hochman, passed away on September 24, 2021 at the age of 76 years.

She is survived by her daughter Delaynah Bly, grandson John-Charles Bly and sister Tillie O’Donnell.

Mr. Joseph “Joe” Polgar of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Barbara “Barb” Polgar, passed away in Lethbridge on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at the age of 88 years.

Jaroslaw Tyniwsky

1926 – 2021

Mr. Jaroslaw Tyniwsky of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at Good Samarians West Highlands on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at the age of 94 years.

Jaroslaw was born on October 1, 1926, in Bykiw Poland. He immigrated to Canada in 1948 and married Lillian Ostapovitch in 1953. They lived in Windsor, Ontario where they had one child, Emily. He was a caring father and husband. He worked at the Welles Corporation (welder) making school buses.

Jaroslaw was a devoted member of the Saint Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church Choir. He loved to host barbeques for his family and friends. He loved playing cards and bingo. He also loved to spend time in his garage fixing things.

After divorcing in 1996 he remained living in Windsor with the loving support from his nephew Fred Ostapovitch and his family. In 2016 he moved to Lethbridge AB to be closer to his daughter and her family.

Jaroslaw is survived by his daughter Emily Holmes; son in law Roger Holmes; grandchildren Diana Snow and Heather Waite (Shaun); great grandchildren Elisabeth Wiersma, Greysen Waite, Lynnley Waite, Grace Snow, Nathan Lambert, Mackenzie Murphy, Mike Snow, Brighton Snow and great great grandson Reign Snow.

He is predeceased by his parents; sister; 2 brothers and his ex-wife Lillian Tyniwsky.

Jaroslaw’s family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to West Highlands Assisted Living staff, homecare nurses and Dr. McKay Steed for their compassion and support.
