ANTHONY “SNAGO” COTTON, passed away in Lethbridge, AB on October 10, 2021 at the age of 52 years.

The Wake Service will be from 6:00 – 11:00 pm on Friday, October 22, 2021 at the Tanner Seniors Center, Cardston. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 11:00 am at Legacy Funeral Home. (Due to Covid restrictions, 50 people only). DZIADYK

John was born on April 4th, 1942 in Humboldt Saskatchewan and went peacefully in his sleep to join his Bride, Sandi Lynne Dziadyk, on October 9th, 2021.

John is predeceased by his son Russell and survived by his children Brandi Dziadyk (James Kovacs) and Geoff Dziadyk.

John will be greatly missed by his best friends Deb McGonigal and Wade O’Sullivan as well as a very large circle of friends and Colleagues.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Zentner Funeral Homes in Claresholm, Alberta.

GALES

ARTHUR RAY GALES of Cardston, AB passed away suddenly of heart failure on September 22, 2021 in Amarillo, Texas at the age of 63. He was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Lola Gales and is survived by his sister Deanna and his brother Grant and their families; children, Becky, Tony, Christian Twigg, and Marley Pilling and their families including many grandchildren. HARVEY

WAYNE MURRAY HARVEY, of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Ruth Kergan for 28 years, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the age of 77 years.

Along with his wife, Wayne is lovingly remembered by his son Scott (Tracy) Harvey and their sons, Marcus and Tristen; son Derek; and step-sons Mike, Randall and Dan (Tammy) Thomsen and their children, Jace and Lily.

He was predeceased by his parents Clifford and Gratia, brother Ross and the mother of his children, Carole Harvey.

Wayne was born in Lethbridge and spent his early childhood in the Drumheller area before returning to Lethbridge. He attended LCI until joining the army in 1961, serving in Europe as part of NATO, stationed in Iserlohn, Germany. While in Germany, Wayne played bass guitar and sang in the band, the T-Birds, under the ruse of “public relations” for the Canadian Army. Upon his departure from the military, he worked for CP Rail, Purity Dairy and spent 33 years at Palliser Distilleries (Black Velvet). Wayne was involved with coaching his sons’ in hockey in addition to playing hockey with the Coaldale Sugar Daddies. He was also an avid slow pitch player attending the Huntsman World Senior Games several times with The Bandits. Wayne spent his retirement with his wife as snowbirds, travelling in their motorhome throughout the US, settling in Val Vista Villages in Mesa, AZ.

Wayne will be remembered by friends and family as one to never turn down a party or a beer, but also for his kindness, sense of humour and generous spirit. He will be missed.

Due to COVID, a small private Celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held.

Marjorie Leona Walton Henrie

IWAMOTO

TOSHIHIKO IWAMOTO passed away recently at the age of 97 years old.

He was predeceased by his wife Tsuyako. (2015) He is survived by his sons Terry (Cindy), Kelly, as well as several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

A private family service was held for Toshihiko on Saturday October 9th.

Cornelis “Case” Kuipers

1929 – 2021

Mr. Cornelis “Case” Kuipers of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Fanny Kuipers (Konynenbelt), passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at the age of 91 years.

Case was born on October 22, 1929 in Zuidwolde, Groningen, The Netherlands. He immigrated to Canada in 1955 and met the love of his life Fanny Konynenbelt. They were married on October 26, 1962 and were blessed with one daughter and two sons.

Case was an active member of the Maranatha Christian Reformed Church.

Case leaves memories to his wife Fanny of 59 years; children John, Kenneth and Marsha (Stewart) Vyn and his grandchildren Kaitlin, Megan, Brenna and Michelle.

Case was pre-deceased by his parents Jans and Aafke Kuipers and his brother Jan.

Friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00pm and 8:00pm on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.

A Private family Memorial Service will be held.

Eugene Stoinski

1946 – 2021

Eugene (“Gene”) Stoinski of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Dianne Stoinski, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2021 at the age of 75 years after a brief battle with cancer.

Gene enjoyed spending time on those things he cherished most:his family, his friends, tending to his flower gardens, and restoring classic vehicles.

Besides his loving wife Dianne, Gene is survived by their three children: Steve (Madonna) Stoinski of Calgary; Sharon (Trevor) Sproule of Lethbridge and their children, Zachary and Caleb; and Scott (Jodi) Stoinski of Calgary and his children, Jordyn, Jessica, Trace, and Stacey Stoinski. Gene is also survived by two great grandchildren, Kaylum and Paisley; his sister, Irene (Otto) Fast of Lundbreck Falls; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Gene was predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Josephine Stoinski, and his brothers, John Stoinski and Steve Stoinski.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Chinook Regional Hospital for the care and compassion they gave to Gene.

A Private Family Graveside Service will be held October 20, 2021.
