Ross Wayne Beebe passed away on October 9, 2021 at the age of 29 years.

A wake service will be held on Thursday October 21, 2021 from 5:00-10:00 pm at the residence of Barry Beebe. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 22, 2021 at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church with Father Pawel Andrasz officiating. Clint Dunford

1943 – 2021

Mr. Clint Dunford of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Gwen Green, passed away at Chinook Regional Hospital on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the age of 78 years due to a sudden and unexpected illness.

A Celebration of Clint’s Life will be held at a later date when we can all gather together safely.

KNIBBS, Kalvin

Kalvin Knibbs, beloved husband of Yvonne, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the age of 51 years.

Kalvin loved sports, sports and more sports. He loved playing hockey from a very young age all the way through to the WHL. He enjoyed watching a variety of sports, mainly hockey – especially his favorite team the New York Rangers. He was a volunteer with the Calgary Minor Hockey Association for a number of years where he developed many new friendships. He was always so proud and loved watching Colby and Bret play all of the sports they took part in. Kalvin will be most remembered for his willingness to always help family and friends and for taking the time to teach others various skills such as using tools, fixing cars and anything sports related.

Kalvin leaves his loving wife Yvonne, daughter Colby and son Bret; brothers, Robin (Connie) and Carey (Helga); as well as a long list of in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Kalvin was predeceased by his parents, Bert and Maxine Knibbs; brother Blaine, sister Judy Ann Dyer and nephew Troy.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Those attending will be asked to confirm one of the following, (A) COVID vaccination (date requested), OR (B) a negative COVID test (within 72 hours), OR (C) Medical exemption AND valid government identification (with name & date of birth) OR (D) Under 12 years of age. JOHN KUNST, of Lethbridge, beloved partner of Lisa Waage, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at the age of 86 years.

John is survived by his loving partner Lisa, and her family Mark (Sharlene), Debbie, and grandsons Kaelen, Raegen, and Jaden; his sister Lydia; brothers-in-law Karl, Helmut (Jan), and sisters-in-law Lena and Trudy (Roy), as well as all of their extended families.

He was predeceased by his brother Fred; Sister Ida; brothers-in-law Andy and Matt, and granddaughter Beckie.

At John’s request, no formal Funeral Service will be held.

Shannon Leleux

Mrs. Shannon Leleux of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Mr. Rod Leleux passed away at Chinook Regional Hospital on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the age of 72 years.

Simone MacNeil

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Simone Yvette MacNeil. Simone MacNeil was born August 26, 1969, in Red Deer, Alberta. She is survived by her husband Kelvin Kellar, mother Eileen MacNeil; her two loving sons, Jessy and Justin MacNeil; brothers and sister Donnie, Randy, Heather and Cory MacNeil. Her parents in law Ronnie and Gayle; extended family Margaret, Gladys, Jean, Kyle, Lisa, Brian, Casey, Charlie, Mason, Robyn, Natasha, Brett, Scott and the numerous aunts’ uncles and cousins, and the many of people and children she worked with and loved.

Simone will be remembered and adored for her positive outlook on life she believed in being happy and finding the best in every situation. In her free time everyone will know how much she beloved playing bingo something she got from her father. It’s at bingo she formed many of greatest friendships with people who will remain lifelong friends. In the summer there was nothing she enjoyed more than playing golf with her friends and family often hitting her putts much to hard but somehow finding the bottom of the cup and not 20 feet past the hole.

OKAMURA

DR. TATSUO OKAMURA passed away at the hospital on October 13, 2021 in Lethbridge, Alberta. “Tats” battled, for the last two years, to recover from a knee replacement. He approached most challenges in life with hard work, perseverance and a never quit attitude. Unfortunately, despite all of his efforts he was unable to regain his independent lifestyle.

Tats was born in Strawberry Hill (Delta), British Columbia in 1936. The Okamura family was sent to Elie, Manitoba during the relocation of Japanese Canadians from BC. Tat’s grew up in Winnipeg where he completed his dental degree at the University of Manitoba in 1964. He was the youngest of 6 born to Mitsu and Magoichi Okamura. Tats was predeceased by brothers Mas / Yoshiyuki / Yukio and sisters, Kim / Chiyeko. He is survived by 2 sisters-in-law, Kiyo Okamura (Mas), Jean Okamura (Yukio) and his many nieces & nephews.

Tats always spoke fondly of his life and friends in Winnipeg. He moved to Lethbridge after graduation where he devoted his life to helping the patients of his 13th Street dental practice.

Tats loved playing hockey since his childhood. He played throughout his life and had plans to return to playing after his knee surgery. He enjoyed both the sport and the time spent with his hockey buddies. Tats’ legacy is his extensive family. He inspired 7 of his nieces & nephews to follow in his footsteps to become dentists.

Being with family as well as his coffee friends brought him joy. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and patients. The family wishes to express our thanks to Herman, Tom, Keith, Raynard, John, Amanda and his caregivers.

Alvin Wells passed away on October 12, 2021 in Lethbridge, AB at the age of 64 years.

A Wake Service will be held at the Tanner Senior Center, Cardston on Sunday, October 24 from 7:00 to 11:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Monday, October 25 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at the Blood Band Cemetery.

Norvena is survived by her children: Frank (Samantha) and Brent White Cow. Her father who misses her dearly; Warner (Connie) White Cow, Her mother: Jacqueline (Mills) Big Bull. Her siblings; Warren Sr (Lynette), Alvin and Arvin White Cow, Cecilia (Donaven) Jackson-Big Bull, Barbara One Owl, Ladean White Cow, Lynn Holloway and Cody North Peigan. Her special grandchildren; Jerez, Jerel, Justice, Sunshine, Frankie, Esias, Kashis and Sophie. Grandfather; Mark (Blandine) Strikes With A Gun. Her paternal Aunts and Uncles who took her as a little sister; Dayle Holloway, Jocelyn Bad Eagle, Earl White Cow and Jason Many Guns. Maternal Aunts and Uncles; Myrna Little Leaf, Gayle (Larry) Provost-Strikes With A Gun, Pam (Frank) Wolf Tail, Leander and Clinton Strikes With A Gun. Her Great Uncle; Peter (Jeannie) Strikes With A Gun. Norvena is greatly missed by her numerous nieces, nephews and close Cousins, she took as her brothers and sisters. She was predeceased by her husband; Bryan Holloway, her son, Paul White Cow and Grandson, Milo White Cow.
