BROADHEAD

It is with gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of RONALD GLEN BROADHEAD on December 23, 2021 at the age of 85 years.

He went peacefully, at his home, surrounded by family. He went “Home for Christmas” as was his wish.

He leaves a legacy of love for his wife Joann of 65 years, 8 children and their spouses, 29 grandchildren and ever increasing # of great grandchildren.

Stefan (Steve) Dimnik

Dec. 12, 1928 – Dec. 21, 2021

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Steve Dimnik on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at the age of 93 years.

Steve’s life was characterized by devotion to his wife, dedication to his family, service to others and a warm-hearted humour. He will be deeply missed, but rich memories will live on.

1927 – 2021

It is with a tremendous sense of loss that Steve’s family announce his death on Monday, December 20, 2021, just days before his 94th birthday.

A Visitation will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, Lethbridge, Alberta

A Prayer Service will follow at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 Street South, Lethbridge and will be led by Deacon Frank Peta.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11: 00 am on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at ST. AMBROSE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1513-23 AVE, Coaldale, AB with Father Ian Gagne, celebrant.

Cor Kramer
1935 ~ 2021
Cornelis “Cor” Kramer passed away
peacefully at the Bow Island Health Centre
surrounded by the love of his life, Clara,
and his four children on Tuesday,
December 21, 2021 at the age of
86 years.
The world lost a bit of its humour and
gentleness when our much loved husband
and father was taken unexpectedly by a
devastating stroke.
Cor was born in Waarland, Netherlands
on August 12, 1935. He worked on
the family farm in Holland until they
immigrated to Canada in 1954. Cor quickly
settled into farm life in Lethbridge and
area working with his dad and brothers
while earning his welding certification. At
age twenty seven he moved to Woodstock,
Ontario to start welding. Shortly after, he met Clara van der Meer, who became his
beloved wife of 58 years. His son and daughter, Jack and Wendy soon arrived,
after which Cor moved his family back to Alberta to farm in Raymond. The birth
of two more daughters, Judy and Tricia followed.
In 1985 Cor bought land in Bow Island and farmed until he retired in 1996. Then
he and Clara started the good life, where Cor greatly enjoyed golfing, wood
turning, playing pool, making wine, gardening, and travelling. Cor loved to spend
time laughing and visiting with friends and his large extended family, including his
brothers and sisters: Jack, Ann (Dick), Marie (Dirk), Truce (Cor Appel), Hank
(Henny), Sam (Effie), Tina (Dick), John (Wiena), Pete (Lavone), Elly (Harm) and
Tony (Margaret). He was predeceased by his parents Simon and Marie, and his
siblings Jack, Marie, Hank, Sam and Tina; and his in-laws: Dick, Dirk, Cor Appel,
Henny, Effie and Harm.
He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Clara, and children: Jack Kramer
(Nicola Quigley), Wendy Hilsendeger (Steve), Judy Helfrich (Mike) and Tricia
Kramer (Malcolm Matthews); his grandchildren: LeAnna, Nikki, Emily, Tyler, Luke,
Conor and Tabby; and great grandchildren Kaidence, Bentley and Tanner; along
with Christine, Hailey, Graham, Walker and Mavrik, who he considered his own
grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral
Chapel, 5006 – 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 between
7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. Due to the fact that in person attendance at the visitation
is limited, those who wish to attend may do so by visiting Cor’s obituary page on
our website and choosing the ‘attend visitation’ link to schedule an appointment.
Alternatively, you may call the funeral home at (403) 223-8778 to schedule a
time.
A private funeral service will be held at Southland Funeral Chapel, Taber on
Wednesday, December 29, 2021 with Life Celebrant, Shelly Dawn Bassett
officiating. A private committal service will take place at the Bow Island Cemetery.

GUSTAVE SHERWIN MANY BEARS, “Kaahtoi’ poyi”, passed away on December 15, 2021 in Cardston, AB at the age of 69 years.

A Wake Service will be held on Monday, December 27 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 28 at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Blood Reserve. Interment in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Stand Off.

NIKKEL

ANNE NIKKEL, beloved wife of John Nikkel, of Coaldale, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the age of 83 years.

A Private Family Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Gary Burke officiating. The Service will be live streamed and may be accessed via Anne’s obituary on the Cornerstone website.

Anne will be laid to rest in the Coaldale Mennonite Cemetery.

RICHARDS

ROBERT “BOB” NEPHI RICHARDS, beloved husband of Vivian Richards, passed away peacefully at the Raymond Health Centre on Sunday, December 19th, 2021 with his cherished family at his side at the age of 61 years.

Besides his devoted and loving wife Vivian Richards (née Still), Bob is survived four sons: Dustin Richards, Ryan (Rachel) Richards, Brandon (Morgan) Richards, and Bradley (Camille) Richards as well as 15 grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn his parents Dick and Shirley Richards, his mother-in-law Merle Still, two brothers, three sisters as well as many close relatives.

Bob was a great outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and was a talented woodworker. He was a favourite to all with his fun loving, generous, and caring personality.

He was a member of the LDS church and will be sadly missed.

A Visitation will be held at the MAGRATH STAKE CENTRE, 21 East 1 Avenue South, Magrath, AB, on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:45 P.M., with a private Funeral Service at 1:00 P.M. with Bishop Tim Sabey officiating. Please be advised that Covid Protocols are in effect, requiring proof of vaccination and picture ID or a negative Rapid COVID test within 72 hours. The Funeral Service will be livestreamed and may be accessed via Bob’s obituary on the Cornerstone website.

Following the service, Bob will be laid to rest in the Magrath Cemetery.

Adrian Venning

1952 – 2021

Mr. Adrian Venning of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Candace Venning, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the age of 69 years.

Besides his loving wife Candace, Adrian is survived by his sons Jordan (Toni) Venning, Jonathan Venning; daughter Mika Venning; 3 grandchildren Aliea Venning-Bull, Raiden Venning, Nicholai Angus; brother Martin Venning as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families and relatives in England.

Adrian is pre-deceased by his parents Gordon and Joan and his older brother Roger Venning.

Adrian especially enjoyed his time with friends playing darts and taking fishing trips. He will be dearly missed by many.

At Adrian’s request, there will be no funeral service.
