Denyse Marie Anderson

Sept. 21st, 1956 – Jan. 19th, 2022

Denyse Marie Anderson passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.

She is survived by her children Ryan Anderson, Jessica (Shard) Skeith, and Travis Anderson; grandchildren Avery and Ronin Skeith; brothers Macky, Mike, Rod, and Andre Houle; and sister Lorraine Coakes.

Denyse was predeceased by her parents Anatole and Therese Houle, and her brother Donald Houle.

Denyse loved visiting her family in Quebec, taking spontaneous trips, and travelling abroad. She had a witty and sassy personality that many loved her for. She was a dedicated Safeway employee for over 30 years, and was very involved with her union (UFCW401). She had an infectious laugh and was wonderfully easy going. Denyse loved her kids and grandkids more than anything else in the world, and she was always very dedicated to her family. In her pastime, she enjoyed cross stitching, puzzles, and Sudoku.

Denyse will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Albert Vernon Dorge

1929 – 2022

Mr. Albert Vernon Dorge of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Doris Dorge, passed away at Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, January 24, 2022 at the age of 92 years.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Doris; children Vernon, Debbie, Jamie and Jaelynn, as well as numerous family members and friends.

A Viewing will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, January 31, 2022 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610, 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.

Please note that due to Covid 19 restrictions the number of attendees will be limited to 50 people in the building at a time. Thank you for understanding.

Interment will follow at 2:00 pm at the UNION CEMETERY, Fort Macleod, Alberta.

Mary McEvitt Heggie of Raymond Alberta, beloved wife of the late Alan Heggie, passed away on January 20, 2022 at the age of 91 years.

  Elmer Andrew Megyes, beloved husband of Carol Megyes, passed away in Taber on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the age of 83 years.

  Besides Carol his loving wife of fifty three years, Elmer is survived by his children John (Joely) Megyes of Coaldale, Carolyn (Fred) Moerkerk of Lethbridge, Mary-Ann (Arthur) Tingey of Edmonton and Julie (Hugue) Pineault of Leoville, Saskatchewan; grandchildren Lyndley, Aidan, Robyn (Gerrick), Quinlan, Jarvis (Amber),  Toni (Brandon), Sawyer, Kelli, Pascal and Olivia; great grandchildren Elliot, Chelsea and Liliana. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Bob (Lana) Krakowski and their children Layne Krakowski and Shana Krakowski; nephews Art Jonker and Doug Jonker and family.

  He was predeceased by his parents Tony and Anna Megyes, sister Maggie Jonker, in-laws Bob and Mary Krakowski.

  Elmer was born July 29, 1938 at the Galt Hospital in Lethbridge to Tony and Anna Megyes. He was raised on the family farm east of Taber. Elmer took over the family farm when his father retired, which he operated until 1986. Elmer and Carol made their way into Taber and worked as custodians at the Taber Legion for approximately ten years.

  Elmer had a love for classic cars, especially the fifties and sixties vintage. He had a mechanical background and would always tinker and was continuously trying to improve things. He enjoyed travelling to Vegas on numerous occasions. Elmer had a love of music as well he enjoyed dancing.

  Dad always had a smile on his face and would take the time to start a conversation with anyone.
